Spanos has helped the Chargers acquire and retain some of the most prolific talent in football over the last 19 seasons, as the team had 34 players make a combined 80 Pro Bowls over that span — including 17 that have been named to 34 all-star games in the last 10 seasons. In addition to acquiring star players, four players in the last 10 drafts went on to earn Rookie of the Year honors.
And...
Spanos and Telesco hired Brandon Staley to be the team's head coach. Staley has led the Bolts to a 19-15 record and a playoff berth over two seasons bringing an innovative and progressive strategy to the organization.
And...
Spanos' ascension within the organization coincided with one of the most successful eras in franchise history. From 2004-09, the Chargers won 67 regular-season games, good for the third-most in the NFL over that span. The team also won three playoff games during that stretch...
And...
Spanos serves as the Chairman of the Board for the National Invitational Camp, which oversees the running of the annual NFL Scouting Combine. ... He formerly served as the Chairman of the Board for National Football Scouting.

The Stick Train got derailed on the way to Vegas. I don't think you can blame Stick for the worst things that happened last night. He's still learning and needs to be more aware in the pocket. That would probably improve with experience. He did demonstrate he can make the the throws an NFL QB needs to make at this level. He did have his good moments. But, I doubt the Chargers are going to win another game this season, so it's pointless. The Stick Train is going nowhere.
