They'd still have a '25 1st so they could still concievably net a "blue chipper" next yr....unless they get a couple rounds into the playoffs😁🤞. One thing we don't know is if Horitz and Co have 10 or 20 players with 1st rd grade. Herbie's $$ is one thing, but I think what they do with Mack/Bosa situation will be most important.....do they re-sign either, one or move/ let go both. Interesting times to say the least. FWIW...Horitz just re-iterated his draft philosophy again today......and Bilicheck just said that 95% of rumors/ trade noise is made up. Truths dont start falling until last day before draft. I'm jonesing for the draft drug!!!🤣
I'm hearing all of the bluechippers next year will be gone before #32

TT gonna zig and zag, he's got a feel for it and don't need no data or facts.

Looks like we've got a new nickname for TT: "The Zig-Zag Man"...if he says he's zigging, especially since it's Liar's Month, he's probably just ahem, blowing smoke...

Speaking of mocks, Does this site have a Mock draft challenge or some thing like it for us to post our picks.
It would be fun to see how far off we are, or should I say, how far off the GM's are from our best choices!

New Mock using The Athletic consensus board. We trade down with the Jets.

                  5. New York Jets (from LAC): Malik Nabers, WR, LSU

Brock Bowers to the Jets at 10 is a popular pick, but why take a risk on a tight end prospect when you can trade up for a dynamic wide receiver? Aaron Rodgers will need assets, and he is in win-now mode at this point in his career. I’m going full-send to maximize this window while I have it.

                  10. Los Angeles Chargers(from NYJ): Brock Bowers, TE, Georgia

Jim Harbaugh’s returning to the NFL and drafting one of the best tight end prospects of the last decade comes as no surprise. The Chargers have a lot of needs on offense, but they’re set at QB, so why not get them a dynamic pass catching weapon (and a willing blocker) after acquiring more draft capital with the trade down the board?

I was thinking....due to advanced training, medicine, kids learning "pro-style" concepts at a much earlier age than 30 yrs ago, what are the odds that what we consider 2nd and 3rd round prospects nowadays would have been considered 1st rd locks back in the day??? I wouldn't be surprised if 50 + would be considered "blue-chippers" 😁

So by those statistics it would be imperative that we trade back as many times as we could THAT MAKE SENSE to better our chances to get as many "hits" as we can?? LOVE IT!!!! Lets draft 20 + youngins....🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Several analysis done back in the early 2000's showed that the teams taking more draft picks tend to do better since their chances of
finding a diamond in the rough is greater. Belicheat used this strategy but it eventually caught up to him.

On the other hand a greater majority of NFL starters are found in R1, more than any other round.

So somewhere there should be a compromise. Nothing beats a great scouting department coupled with an intelligent GM,
                        that would be my opinion.

Right or very wrong im just going to stick with this. Too many things can happen. Trading with AZ after they trade with Minnesota.

We get 35, 66 and a 2025 first. Maybe Hortiz wants a 4th too but i'll go with this.

Watched a interview with Rice with Kay Adams and he is buddies with Panthers WR coach Rob Moore so im jumping ahead of Carolina at #100 to get him just in case and he did meet with them and the owner was in the meeting.
We will get comp picks the next couple years, or every year to get back that 5th. I want to fit Edggerin Cooper in here somewhere but just think we are going to get a OL early and thats where imo Cooper will go and thats a priority for them and im thinking JH and Minter would love to land Jenkins.

                          11 Brock Bowers TE/ Georgia
                          35 Kris Jenkins/ DT Michigan
37 Cooper Beebe OG/ Kansas st
                          66 Mike Sainristil CB/ Michigan
69 Jaylen Wright RB/ Tenn or Blake Corum / Michigan
                          100 Brenden Rice WR/ USC (trade w/ WA for 2025 5th)
                          110 Cedric Gray LB/ N. Carolina
140 Hunter Nourzad OC/ Penn st
                          181 Cedrick Johnson Edge/ Mississippi
225 Josh Procter S/ Ohio st
