This is the guy handing out fines and suspensions in the NFL for hits

I'll tell why I don't like this and has nothing to do with whether Derwin plays smart or cavalierly. It seems arbitrary. Is there some rule where if you get X number of personal fouls you can be suspended? In the NBA, there are a certain number of technical fouls you can get before you have a 1 game suspension. Players, fans, teams all know the rule. I'm not aware of any rule like that in the NFL. This wasn't an egregious hit by Derwin. I saw at least 3 other helmet to helmet hits this week that didn't even draw flags. Derwin gets penalized even when it's not a helmet to helmet hit. He just hits hard sometimes.

It's the fact that a guy in an NFL office just decided, I'm gonna suspend Derwin James for a game. Just so happens to be the Chiefs game and we don't want him body slamming Travis in front of Taylor. It's bullshit.

Fine. They should make it clear. If you get x number of personal fouls you get suspended for 1 game. Without that clarity it's arbitrary and bullshit. Especially when hits like the one above in this thread do t even draw a flag.

Well, the good news is, we've already got one 1st round project who seems to have turned the corner. So there's that.
