What position group can afford to have someone go down for a game or two right now?

What if Tuli goes down? What if Alt goes down? What if Salyer goes down? What if Henley goes down? What if Derwin goes down? What if Still goes down?

I guess one WR could go down and the team would be okay. Maybe TE? One IDL player might be absorbable, too.

Anyway, I think if Hampton goes down the team guess from 3.3 YPC to 2.7 YPC maybe. They throw the ball more to hopefully make up for the difference. It's not perfect, but I really don't think it moves the needle a tremendous amount compared to the other position groups.

One eternal constant is Harbaugh ALWAYS believes in the players he has. Players know it and love him for it. Even when he cuts a player, he will compliment the player as they load his shit into the player's car trunk.

        its a non-statement in reality.

If I could upgrade a position room for the 2025 run:
          OL
          DE/Edge
          RB

RB would be last on my to-do list. That is not the same thing as saying I think Haskins and Vidal are great.

Good point. Haskins has his role and use, including ST. I guess it depends on what Vidal first, and maybe Amar can show to determine what Hortiz has to do in terms of additions

Kinda my point. Plus, though Omarion is a young beast, a 3 down back, you cant run him into the ground over the next 14 games before the playoffs

Cant argue with that priority list. Injuries or poor OL perfomance could sink our season more than back up RB. Ditto pass rush. If you are playing the true contenders its a long day if you are playing Lamar and Josh with no pass rush

we're also still building the team, already down to 6 picks with no compensatory picks on the horizon because we brought in guys to make this team better this year, guys like Najee, Becton, Phillips, and Jackson (CB) cost us a chance to grab some compensatory picks for our departed free agents...so Hortiz sacrificed a few comps to improve the team in free agency, I don't have an issue with that but now with so few picks in the 2026 draft our trading power is reduced a bit, the one thing that I think we could see is maybe the Chargers trading a player for another player...where do we have a surplus of guys on the roster? IDL and CB stand out a bit as places were we could potentially move someone, but do we have marketable guys at those positions? IDK, and that would require a team to want or need at one of those two positions for a want or need that we have at a different position...IDK, just seems like those types of trades are much harder to pull off than just straight draft compensation...

people shit all over the compensatory picks during free agency but right now we could really use one or two of those, to fill team needs...in the future I think Hortiz will have 2-3 of those at his disposal yearly...we just still had too many holes to fill in 2025, the roster is still undergoing massive turnover, a retooling if you don't like the term rebuilding...
We are only down one pick with a long ways to go til next April. Also didnt we get a comp pick for Dobbins with the way he designated him? IDK, ....not worried about it right now.
Id like Hortiz to get another RB but they seem OK with who we got. Gonna trust the staff.

Ironically, that’s not the order in which the GM attempted to upgrade the team before the season started.

But we had Slater and Mack before the season got underway. Injuries can shift priorities in a hurry.

It’s such a bitch to watch injuries cripple the chargers every single year. Fortunately, Hortiz built more depth than Telesco.

Dobbins is a plus in our comp formula equation but as I read Mr AI (often wrong so?) that one move is not an isolated comp award, its a plus credit in the overall comp equation. several here tried to do the math and estimated our minuses outweigh our pluses - I don't know. Some of our departures are still sitting at home last I checked (ASJ, Gus, ?) but we added Najee, Slayer, 2 DLs, 2 CBs, Conklin, ... anyone else?

Not sure if order indicates as much. he did sign Najee early, and it was before the draft. That was before OH was taken Rd1, we don't know if he would have signed him AFTER the draft or not - quite possible. He seemed to focus most on WR, CBs, DLs, and Becton of course was his one OL move. did I miss anyone - hard to keep track lol ...

I don't see a Najee on the FA market at the moment - he didn't give up picks for a RB before, doubt he will now but hey - who knows. Last week showed OL and Edge are bigger team risks, thats just my take.

I see the central issue as dealing with it all short term. We will roll with what is working.

That is predominantly eleven personnel. Ladd. Keenan. QJ. Oronde...with one back for pass pro, receiving and some carries.

Dissly, when healthy, will cycle in according to how well Pipkins holds up. Our passing attack will carry us.

NFL offenses seem to be either sputtering or putting up forty burgers. The Chargers are near the top overall, so stay the course.

                          My $0.02 worth.
