    I loved the responses:

Don't forget he got food poisoning in Brazil, too. Terrible signing!

    cut him!

Yup........he got injured so he sucks. Forget the he was a road grader for the Eagles last year......BUM.....played in 15 games.....POS......900+ snaps or 88% played......FAIL.....Had 2 penalties called on him all year......WEAK!!!!

I swear we tear down so many guys every year on here........Give it a rest IMHO!
The streets are littered with guys who played well for one team, took the bag in FA and didn't live up to it. Jury is out on Becton. He's played 50% of the snaps so far

I want the the Lions Assistant OLine Coach Steve Oliver. He’s worked with Hank Fraley for 3 years now. I would also at this point want Hank Fraley as the OC next year.
That seat should be red hot by now

Becton has played well when he’s in there. I think he deserves the benefit of the doubt at this point. If he stunk it up when he played that would be a different matter.

Of all things, food poisoning and a concussion are 100% transient so it’s not like he has a lingering problem either.

Why'd he miss all of training camp?

Does anyone know anything about this?

Chargers’ Mekhi Becton Absent from Training Camp for Eagles-Related Business

Becton’s absence highlights the delicate balance between personal commitments and team responsibilities, particularly for players in high-stakes roles. As he navigates this situation, it will be interesting to see how quickly he can acclimate back into the Chargers’ system. The ongoing dynamics of roster integration and player chemistry will be crucial for Los Angeles as they aim to make significant strides this season.

If this was preseason - it was to get his Super Bowl ring

The Bengals have been smoked two weeks in a row without Burrows. They are going nowhere.

Some team is going to get Trey Hendrickson for a 2026 3rd (maybe its conditional) and another Day 3. Granted, if the Bengals are smart - they trade him and not let him get to free agency

The Chargers should be on the phone

Chargers should also be on the phone for any veteran OL teams are wanting to trade that would improve their curent roster and depth

Ted Karras -- he should be on the market too from the Bengals. IOL. depth
Teams will be tanking - Joe H needs to be prepared

We will see what happens, its only 4 games in....so far he has been available for 50% of the time for one reason or another.

As I said there was a reason such a talented player did not cash in on free agency. Teams as smart as the Eagles would not open the checkbook to sign him long term because of the risk.

When he is on the field he is effective, but you better have a back plan (one better than Salyer at guard who is not good there)

Anyone here who does not accept that signing Mekhi Becton comes with built in calcualted risk is being disingenious. Given this was their only off season move to improve the interior offensive line, that comes wih risk, it only underscores they didnt do enough with better depth

#Chargers sign Michael Dunn and Isas Aaxter to the practice squad, released Myles Purchase and Rashad Weaver from the practice squad

Dunn was an OG with the Browns many years and was with the Niners this preseason
Axter - I think its Waxter - is a DB

Weaver and Myles Purchase were released from the PS
