Parham -- probably had more key drops than anybody on the teamOriginally posted by blueman View Post
I actually like those two guys for a Harbaugh/Roman scheme, a blocker and a pass catcher. Upgrade? Sure, but don’t see it as a need. OC, CB1, LB, OG (moving Salyer to RT) are much greater “needs” IMHO.
plus he can't stay healthy - he is not reliable and not the best blocker

Invaluable influence on any young passrusher here, just ask Tuli.Originally posted by Lone Bolt View Post

But I stand by not unloading both Bosa and Mack, then burning 5 on Edge, or relying on midround picks to help Tuli. My take...keep Mack another year, and develop a player or two behind him.

Granted, I think most of those were in 2023 - maybe 12 games . But MW might not be ready until the early part of the year -- If he is back, it will be a surpriseOriginally posted by richpjr View Post
In Palmer's 3 years here, he has missed 8 games. During those 3 years, Williams has missed 19 games.
Kendricks
Williams
those seem like the top odds of getting under the cap - those two alone will do it

If the best TE is this group was Sanders I'd be looking at one of the WRs or trading down and getting a Edge rusher or CBOriginally posted by blueman View Post

It’s not just games missed. He is constantly nicked up and not playing to his full potential. Last year he played in a lot of games but was limping around. Might as well not even suited up. He has played 3 seasons and had 1 of any note at all.Originally posted by richpjr View Post

I think most the players are nicked up during the season. Palmer worked his way past Guyton his rookie year and came in well.Originally posted by FoutsFan View Post

Next season he had the 72 receptions. Last year he sprained his knee, missed time. Played well when he was active.
Hopefully Ben Herbert has an impact for less injuries across the team.

I actually think the two are pretty similar production and health wise over their first 3 seasons.Originally posted by FoutsFan View Post

I like Palmer and think he can be pretty good when healthy. I wouldn't want him as my number one option, but when he's healthy he may be a decent number two. But you can't count on that. You can't count on him being on the Chargers after this year. I don't think you can count on Keenan for that, either. This wide receiver room could look amazing after this season if Keenan continues being Keenan, Palmer stays healthy and develops, and Johnston learns how to catch and Roman figures out how to get him the ball in space. That's a lot of ifs. More than I'm comfortable with. The WR room could also look like a disaster after this season. Keenan gets hurt or falls off a cliff. Palmer isn't good, or is hurt, or even just walks in FA, Johnston continues his play from last year. Suddenly this team needs a number 1,2, and 3 WR. We'll have cap space, but WRs are expensive in FA.
