I'd much rather have Salyer at LT than Deculus.

Me too. I think Deculus is more of a RT than LT so maybe that explains his poor performance at LT for us.

I’ll never forget Al Saunders. I was at the Rams Chargers game in 1988. My friend and I got to the stadium early, I was wearing my away Fouts Jersey while watching the players warm up right at the away rail about the 50 yard line. Al walks up to my friend and I and starts talking. Asking how we were, how long we were Chargers fans and such, he was there for about 10-15 minutes, really nice guy. Oh and the Chargers went on to smoke the Rams that game.

I guess we've had a few cool Head Coaches over the years. Very cool story! Now I can add Saunders to that list. McCoy is another. Harbo is pretty cool too.

I'm a bit miffed why some people are peddling some of our best players as trade bait...the past several days, we've heard QJ, Vidal, even Derwin mentioned...not gonna happen IMHO...

On the other hand, lousy players aren't generally the targets of trade interest, right? That's why you're not seeing posts suggesting that Bradley Bozeman be traded for... ANYbody.

That said, I agree that some of the trade proposals pitched in the pages of this forum are absolutely ridiculous.

Agree and those sideline interviews at halftime and such ,...... They should stop those. Needless and you get nothing from them.

Yep...the infobabe always asks the same lame questions, such as:

1. "Coach, what does your team need to do to get back into the game?"
2. "Coach, how is your defense going to be able to stop that offense in the second half?"
3. "Coach, what strategy will you use in the second half?"

Sometimes, I wish the coach would tell her, "sorry, not gonna tell YOU that!"

Yeah, I think so too, he just needs to be allocated help and he can be serviceable at RT. Salyer, I've mostly given up hope on him being a starting G in this blocking scheme, to be honest. He's like Pipkins in that regard -- a better tackle than a guard for us.

Posters need to be rezponsible about what football takes they put out there...something close to reality.

Mock draft simulator machines propose ludicrous trades and fans get lost in that.

Then there's social media professional clickbaiters adding to the mix.

I would trade a starter if a player coming back is better and can help the team more. Like the Bengals, if they were willing to trade Trey Hendrickson, depending on who the player was - -I might trade them. St. Juste started last week - you wouldn't trade him for Trey Hendrickson. I would if that is what it took

The Jets might trade Breece Hall - I mentioned Vidal and a draft pick. Kimani had a nice game on Sunday against the Fish but Hall is probably a better player.

The Chargers traded a starting safety last week to upgrade pass rush. All depends on the player going out and the player coming back

Now for a back up running back like Keaton Mitchell or Devin Singletary - thats like a 6th or 7th round pick type trade.
