Maybe he had grown since and will be better,..... But I would like to see his press conference after their game 😆Originally posted by Ghost of Quacksaw View Post
McBoy's go-to answer when the media asked questions about things going wrong: "I'll have to look at the film." It was often crystal clear to any casual observer what had gone wrong, but the head coach was saying he'd have to look at the film?!?
You just want to say, "Coach? If you're being honest here, we can only conclude that you're a fucking moron."
When THAT is the best response coach can come up with-- repeatedly-- the media deduces the obvious: They aren't being dealt with in good faith, and are being taken for idiots. Not surprisingly, the content they then produce isn't exactly favorable.

McCoy reminded me-- a lot-- of Al Saunders, who never got another HC opportunity after his stint with the Chargers. He served as the Chiefs' OC for at least a decade.Originally posted by Boltjolt View Post

Agree and those sideline interviews at halftime and such ,...... They should stop those. Needless and you get nothing from them.Originally posted by dmac_bolt View Post
Agree. With 21 too. Win and nobody cares what you say. Lose and nobody listens. Coaches will continue to not care about pressers, they have no intention of saying anything they think and definitely nothing they plan. If they do, its a slip. they are only standing there due to league rules. its kabuki, I take none of it seriously and believe less.

I’ll never forget Al Saunders. I was at the Rams Chargers game in 1988. My friend and I got to the stadium early, I was wearing my away Fouts Jersey while watching the players warm up right at the away rail about the 50 yard line. Al walks up to my friend and I and starts talking. Asking how we were, how long we were Chargers fans and such, he was there for about 10-15 minutes, really nice guy. Oh and the Chargers went on to smoke the Rams that game.Originally posted by Ghost of Quacksaw View Post
