We want motivated Charger players--those who want to be here. Is chasing a ring in Powder Blue an appealing goal ?

I am having a very difficult time envisioning any team trading now. Surprise us Joe.
The players have had since Monday - legally - if not before to understand what the market is. So, if they are coming back on cheaper contracts we will know in the next 72 hours or so. They won't hit free agency and come back because those negotiations have been taking place since Monday

A player like Keenan Allen - the bar is being set at WR. Evans is at the top end so far. The rest of the deals are in that $13-14m AAV range. I think KA slides in just under Evans - but does he think he deserves more

I have always thought that MW had limited trade value; same with Bosa. I thought Mack had some value - and who knows, the Lions and Falcons may surprise with a trade. Allen, again, probably will get more from the Chargers than the open market.

    I still think
Allen - restructured to something witb an AAV in the 17-19m range or he will be released. I do not see him getting an AAV of $22-25m
    Bosa - June 1
    Mack - traded
    MW - released

His chemistry with Herbert is real and he played in San Diego.

      Keep him!
At what cost though - the Chargers are not going to cut a blank check for Keenan Allen - they just aren't.

Ten hours and 45 minutes after Joey Bosa was selected by the Chargers I had a frightful near fatal car wreck, miraculously not killed by a dumbass driver.

I am ready to let go.

Bring on the second wave of free agency, with cap room for the Chargers.

Then trade down and draft BPA at PON.

Jim Harbaugh Football requires depth and as few of weak links as possible.

Waiting for the enviable. I have seen to many players let go, as a Charger fan, it’s usually one year too late. Either way, it hurts. From loving the draft pick, seeing them grow then seeing then go. From John Jefferson to Wes Chandler, Rivers to Herbert, Merriman to Bosa, it’s all part of the cycle. Release all four, it’s time.

I'm a bourbon guy, I love me some small batch bourbon, but I've given up anything harder than the weekly beer with my softball teammates.

He has a contract, that's not a blank check is it?

So we should see some big moves soon. I’m curious which player(s) we will retain

None of that money is guaranteed.

the Chargers have a cap situation. Sure - he can play for the $23.1m -- but other moves would need to be made
Probably releasing Bosa, releasing MW and at worst, restructuring Mack

So its not cut and dried
