Amazing how Trader Joe masterfully clawed our way out of Cap Hell, only for SOME people to continuously suggest he repeat the mistakes of Traitor Tom, and sign more high-priced FA's with bloated contracts...and who want MORE...

We just want the player, not the contract.

I’m not particularly interested in Aiyuk, but Joe Hortiz has to at least talk to SF if they call. It’s his job to improve the team talent. If he gets plus value in any trade, he has to at least consider it.

And I feel he also needs to show some appreciation to Bosa for taking a pay cut so he can’t just dump him either.

I also think that 4 man pass rush line is key to us winning this year so I’d be hesitant to break that up.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.
        Let’s win one for Mack.

I think Hortiz should stay the course he seemed to set in February and this offseason. Aiyuk would be quite the course-- changer for lack of a better term. He can go to the Steelers or some other team, I doubt the Cardinals but they have the funds and picks -- and Trader Joe Hortiz can just keep on keeping on, head down, grinding away with a plan.

Just trying to catch up today... more jump scares than the Amsterdam Dungeon tour.
It seems Quack and Cat are having a knock-down-drag-out.

If my memory serves... the whole off-season discussion was about cap-hell fixes and WR's we'd sell our children for.
To our surprise, Joe traded the only sure-fire keeper (KA) right after letting MW go via free agency. Does this earn him the name "Trader-Joe"...?
And while TPB debated MHJ v Nabers... Joe went with OT Joe Alt. No trade... just superior football knowledge. Does this disqualify him of "Trader-Joe" moniker...?
He did trade up in the 2nd round for WR Ladd McConk. "Trader-Joe" moniker back on...?

Trader Joe seems to fit... and ripping-off the grocery chain name certainly makes it ring.
Quite honestly, I liked Joe's s******** of Orlando Brown Jr in the 3rd round of the 2019 draft better than any other move he's made.
The fact that he traded him 3 years later for a 1st round pick (right before the re-sign) was genius. Again, just superior football knowledge... this time, with a side-of-trade.

Maybe we should call him "Joe Knows"... you know, a rip-off of Bo-Knows...?
If Cat and Quack continue to squabble... of to the dungeon!

The city beckons... off to search for a La Trappe Quadruple.
Have fun fighting! I'll check back from Dublin in a few days.

IMO there's no WR on the planet worth 30m / year . . . . . . . . . I'm on board with the 'quantity over quality' exercise, as long as the 'quantity' is at least adequate to good (not Michael Bandy). Good Oline play, QB play, running game, and coaching can (and should) close the 'quality' gap, and if one of the WRs sprains an ankle your offense doesn't immediately go into the toilet . . . . . . a la KA

and Mike Williams...crap I'd rather have Mike back injured at a lower salary then overspend again...could have just retained KA at those numbers as well...you touched upon the cost/benefit scenario which I agree with as $30 mil is just too much for a player that can miss significant time if they get even mildly injured.

thankfully this ship has been pointed in a new direction.... no more sacrificing trench reinforcements for largesse skill position players !!

                        Bosa before Brandon !!

Aiyuk is better than Palmer in every facet of the game, I think even blocking, but also would cost 4x more so is worth that much of cap space. I think not.
Aiyuk is very good and very explosive.

McConkey is merely a promising rookie, but also can be called explosive.

I disagree about Palmer vs Aiyuk re blocking, but my main point was about roles, redundancy and price.

We prolly agree more than it seems.

Also let me say I am itching for a healthy Joey Bosa with Khalil, and add on a strong, strong rotation with Tuli and Bud.

That will really help with apparent DB deficiencies.
