Hoping after the Maxx trade maybe the market cooled on Oweh and he doesn’t want to play for a crap team.

Agree with this 💯%! I think Kennard will have that same jump Eboigbe did in year 2. Sign Chubb to a 2 year deal or if Rashan Gary gets released.

Not giving up on Kennard, he is developmental player. But with playoff winning aspirations this season he cannot be counted on to produce and should not be anything more than Edge #4 (if he shows more in pre season this year ) Last year was pretty much a red shirt year.

From what I saw as the season progessed Kennard looked more and more like his olds self and began to move better by the end of 2025...barring any set backs and if he's fully healed we're going to see a different Kyle Kennard in the up coming training camp and preseason...

He played on a great defense at S. Carolina, but he was their best player. He was regarded as a 1-year wonder, that's why he was available in the 4th rnd last April. But if you watch some tape of his Gamecock tape, he reminds one of Shawne Merriman. He had 11.5 sacks in 12 games.

I liked the pick, but a lot of the draft guys were so so on Kennard.

He could be something, but he could also end up a shade better than Rumph...nothing more than a depth guy. Too early to know at the NFL level based on what we saw last year which was not much. Let's not forget he did not even dress for the majority of the games.

I am not down on him or giving up, my point is that we have serious contender aspirations and we need some more certain edge players lined up. Two down at least one to go.

I don’t think they have to get an elite WR, I think they can and they can afford it. And do what you are suggesting as well. What edge rushers can they get that you want in FA? What OGs would you like them to sign? Likely a good TE to you?

I don't want Zion but if so, get one of David Edwards OG, Seumalo OG for RG, and draft a OG. Sign OT Josh Jones for swing OT.
Gainwell RB, Jonnu Smith or Likely at TE and draft one,
Cut Davis , Sign Shaheed or yes, Pierce if they can for less than 30m and whoever they get for backup QB. Maybe it is Lance since he won't get signed as a starter. Or a Picket, or Howell or Trubiski. Don't matter of those 3. Hopefully none see the field .....but they could.

We have signed Mack to a 1 year deal now for 3 straight years. Why can't they sign him to a 2 year deal, make his cap hit smaller this year and have year two as a void...or make it so it's really a one.year deal?

They cant do that?
