I really want to see Taylor take the LG position. Hope he so up on tape to be more fluid than Awosika. We shall see.

that's really good news if true.
I feel good about Slater and Slaughter.
      I have reservations about Awosika.
I must be craving 🍣, always think of sushi when I see Awosika’s name written on forum…

      Awosika mango roll…

They work for the Chargers. Money literally does, at least. Not sure if Blieve in Chargers has Charger $ backing flowing into Lo's pocket or not - wouldn't surprise.

I am still not as worried as TPB is about Slater though. I have him a solid 70/30 to start opening game. I also predict he does very little before then as a precaution, so the daily reports he did very little yesterday don't alter my expectation.

Some posts make it sound like he's dead lol.

Slaughter could do ok at his natural position but he is a rookie and its not like we have premium guards beside him to make it easier.

We end up going into this season once again with major questions at interior offensive line.

At guard I have to point out that we went into last season with Zion Johnson and Mekhi Becton at guard and we all felt pretty good about that. Of course it turned out to be a disaster on the field. One that had to be fixed this off season. But to be really honest, does Kayode Awosika and Cole Strange look any better on paper?

I realize there will be better coaching and MM can help Herbert avoid pressure with play design but that is not the whole solution on having a good offensive line.

I don't mean to be pessimistic but some reality is hitting me today. Due to bad luck with Biadasz and bargain shopping at guard, we go into year 3 of Harbaugh once again holding our breath about pressure on Herbert from the interior. We have the OC and the weapons now, for once I would just like to see optimal Justin Herbert without being held back every year by the offensive line.

I think Hortiz needs to get on the phone for veteran help. If Slaughter gets hurt, or really struggles you have a small UDFA rookie center as your next option.
Maybe, maybe not. Its all guesses.

A team cannot replace the entire OL from the last year's OL without there being questions.

              Don't exaggerate . . . . . . . . . it's only his leg that's dead. The rest is fine
