I know a lot of people have been criticizing Hortiz these past couple weeks and to me it is unwarranted. He inherited an absolute shit show. He signed a starting G, a backup C and drafted a 6th round OT/G. So he added depth. Any team that has that many injuries on the Oline is going to struggle. Most teams backups are 5th round picks and later. Could he have brought in 1 more depth piece on the Oline, sure. This team also needed weapons. This team also needs a couple more blue chip defensive players.

This team with Alt, Slater and healthy Becton is a great OLine. Bozeman is definitely the weak link and I have full confidence Hortiz and Harbaugh will prioritize the IOL this offseason.

I have been very skeptical this year, but it has nothing to do with Hortiz and Harbaugh. I just think this franchise is cursed with Spanos as the owner, especially after moving to LA. I do believe If there is a duo that can do it, it’s Hortiz and Harbaugh.

Yes. This team was on its 5th and 6th OTs. There are 10-20 good OTs and another 20 guys who are various levels of playable. This team was lucky to have 2 good OTs and 1 more guy is playable. When there are 64 starting OTs and probably 80 who play in any given season, other teams want them, too. It's impossible to get 4 playable OTs let alone 5-6.

The guard depth and starting C could have been upgraded, but there were a lot of holes to fill. I wish a bit more were done in FA, but OL depth was as good as it has been in my 30 years as a Chargers fan.
