There's a possibility that even our run game ends up in the bottom half of the league, despite Roman's "expertise." If teams know they can stack the box and we can't pass out of it...it creates a vicious cycle.

Herbert will probably have crazy efficient numbers tho: 2800 yards, 20 TDs and only 2 INTs. 😂

I expect the run game to end up in the bottom half of the league. It's looked exactly like last season so far. Come out running the football like gangbusters week 1 then all downhill from there once teams figure out what the tendencies are. I think Harbaugh will eventually move on from Herbert in favor of a dual threat running option at QB like he had with Kaepernick. That's gonna need to happen if he sticks with Roman because that offense requires a running QB to be effective.

You think Harbaugh & Roman wouldn't just love to have a guy like Milroe at QB? They'll be subtle about it and I don't really expect it to happen this next offseason but don't be surprised when talks of trading Herbert start occurring & I'll be surprised if it doesn't happen by the '26 offseason.

Another 14 games in this offense and Herbert will be ready to load the Uhaul himself to get outta town. He still has a lot more earning potential in his career - that's not gonna be maximized playing in an 1970's 130 yds a game passing offense.

44 carries for 219 yards against Carolina for 5 YPC.
#1 in the NFL after 2 weeks.

No matter how we got it, we got it. Thats how you wear em down and bust a couple or few. Its not happening with the OL we had in last Sunday. Salyer was terrible at LT and Mustifer should be cut.

Last game 24 for 55 2.3 YPC with that group.

Just want to point out that the Raiders and Panthers run defences were ranked 29 and 31 when we played them. It was quite different when we played our first 2 solid defenses

I don't think this will happen, but I do think there's a non-zero probability it could.

I don't think things get better on offense until we can punish teams that stack the box. Otherwise it just creates a vicious cycle of not being able to run, unable to pass out of it, unable to force teams from stacking the box, rinse/repeat.

Maybe Chark, even if not fully healthy, is enough of a deep presence to open things up?
