A good General MANAGER, should avoid the responsibility of MANAGING whatever the current state of his team is in (whether he had depth in the offseason or injuries during the season) and just blame the previous GM for not leaving him with a fully stacked roster that he can just take credit for MANAGING.
A good general manager should also listen to the fans and pretend like he inherited absolutely no talent (young or old) at all on the team he is currently MANAGING. Just cut or trade everybody that was drafted or acquired by the previous GM, because every new GM in the league always gets to start from scratch...otherwise how will he take full credit for building his own team? in a few years they may be discrediting him just because there was some young talent already on the roster prior to his arrival...

Point being, MOST new GM's don't inherant a team in "good shape"... Hell AJ received a team in outstanding shape because of answer B above and after a few years into it, the former guy's people were dwindling away and look where we are now.
Weird.
