I understand fans or teams wanting to "stash" players on the IR in hopes of having them on the team next year but I am not a fan of that practice at all. Players on IR are not allowed to practice with the team for the entire season (whether they heal or not). So that means they will not be improving as players at all. If they are not currently good enough to make the team, how would not practicing for a year help improve the player? I would rather place a player on the practice squad and take the risk of them being signed to another teams 53.1) Jason Verrett (CB) TCU
2) Demarcus Lawrence (OLB) Boise St
3) Will Sutton (DT) Arizona St
4) Jarvis Landry (WR) LSU
5) John Urschel (OC) Penn St
6) Shamar Stephen (DT) UConn
7) Brock Coyle (ILB) Montana
