Statement move. Had to get the big 4 contracts down to make room for team-building capital. Mack and Bosa said ok, Keenan said no. Williams cut but could be back on cheaper deal. Hortiz and Harbaugh are setting a much different tone than Telesco and Staley. We know what didn't work. So we are trying something else. Painful to lose a great player. But a few great players do not make a team.

As much as I like Keenan, this is nothing like when JJ was traded to the Packers, friends. That was just devastating and unnecessary. This trade I can see why it had to happen

We will definitely miss Keenan Allen. As far as the Jefferson trade goes as devastating as it was. We then traded for Wes Chandler about 2 weeks later. My all time favorite charger and in my opinion, I think he was better than Jefferson. during the strike-shortened 1982 campaign chandler had 49 receptions while leading the NFL in receiving yards with (1,032) and receiving touchdowns (9) in only 8 games he played that year for an NFL record 129.0 yards receiving per game. The 129 yards per game receiving is still an nfl record today.

It's a paycut for 2024 but did is he losing money over the life of the contract?

He can makeup 4million in sack incentives and that is what bothers me. He assumes he wont get called for offsides......and we all know better. His frequent personal fouls and offside penalties negate any benefit of his pass rushing skills. Not a fan of keeping Bosa, but we all need to trust the new regime. Lets keep calm and see how the draft shapes up.

I was devastated also. Then they brought in Wes Chandler the next week and eased the pain a whole lot. Wes was great.
