Could we have maybe squeezed out another year from KA? Sure, but I'm glad we got the cap situation fixed earlier than not.

Being in a good situation can rejuvenate you... but also being in a bad situation can make you look real bad.

21&500 doesnt like Keenan and why he keeps this updated. But Keenan has Caleb Williams who has not been good so right away this isnt a fair comparison.
You can see DJ Moores frusration with Calebs crappy throws. He doesnt hide it very well lol.

I have Keenan on one of my FF teams and im about to cut him lol. But it is more Calebs bad play than Keenans. I dont have any Colts recievers either because of Richardson. Dont have any Panthers.

        Bears fired OC.

Keenan is getting thrown under the bus by ball watchers that don’t understand the big picture Bears offensive disaster.

Keenan was doing alot of talking earlier about how great Caleb Williams is, and how much more he was ready to take charge than Herbert in his first year, or something to that effect. Well now its week 11 and all the talk is concern about Caleb and how he is regressing to his faults at USC where he holds on to the ball too long and struggles with his reads. Caleb's rookie year is nothing close to Herbert's.

Wonder how Keenan likes being in Chicago now catching from Caleb instead of Herbert

Yes and no. I'll always love KA but don't like the man who decided to pick money over legacy
but the reason it's updated is out of curiosity.

I agreed with budsman in believing that KA would have a better statistical year than Ladd. And now we're both wrong.

Even with the understanding that Caleb was the starting rookie qb for Allen and Roman was the Chargers OC.
Caleb was supposed to be a generational talent surrounded by weapons and Allen was supposed to be his bail-out veteran option.
check the thread, its all there.

People can make excuses for Allen all they want but Allen and Ladd both had things working for them and against them and I'm looking at basic stats to see who is having the better season. It doesn't surprise me that Allen isn't performing as well as many thought he would.

I would be updating this thread if Allen was having the better season, like I expected.

I don't recall anyone calling Caleb a generational QB and if they did, it was unwarranted.
That word gets thrown around too much.

Regardless, the Bears OL is bad and there is never a guarantee a rookie QB just balls out from the get go and many of them sat a year.
Luck, Herbert, Stroud and not many others.

Daniels seems to be doing the best this year but I wouldn't lump him with the other three.

21 and Boltjolt: love the friendly banter, this is what a message board should look like.

also, the hype for Caleb got pretty loud after a few wins. that hype has obviously faded.

not having Keenan probably hurt us a bit in the short run, but i think allowed QJ and Ladd to really develop in training camp / preseason / first few games.

Never bought into the media hype. Apparently the media hype is dwarfed by his own imagination.

"Everybody watches Patrick [Mahomes] and sees all the cool things he can do," Williams told CBS Sports. "I always said, even in high school, that I don't think there's anything ... obviously, it's special, but I don't think there's anything that I can't do that he's doing out there. I think it's really cool. Like I said, I have comparisons of a bunch of other people to have. Patrick is pretty cool."

Sounds like the same egotistical QB that walked past Keenan like he was a bystander upon getting on the practice field together for the first time.
