Just to be clear, Alt is a great prospect and I can see why Harbaugh/Hortiz viewed him as BPA since he’s ranked as the #5 overall OT prospect since 2016.

The problem is that WR was a bigger need and Odunze/Nabers are also incredible prospects also.

They made the right choice protecting their franchise QB first. There are still many good WRs left and we have the 5th pick in the 2nd rnd, they could even wait until the 3rd or they could add Chark. Some good CBs too and a couple DTs.

I think they could go DT which are in shorter supply and add a WR in the 3rd.

We may not be able to have a deep playoff roster after just one offseason but they are on the right track so it is easy to be patient.

We waited decades to get a bonafide coach. We got the number one prospect so to speak in fact. And all the other's failed you can say, as they did not win the big one. So..i have no judgement whatsoever until some time passes. I expect some improvement, but think it will take 3 years at least to make the Super bowl. We waited decades. We can certainly wait longer than one draft.

When Joe Alt proves he's the better LT then he can move there. Until then he's the experiment at RT.

We only have actual LT and that's Rashawn Slater. Alt is not the potential LT, he's the RT and needs to do his job there.

You don't trust Herbert's blindside with an unproven player, in the middle of his prime, especially with one of the league's worst WR cores.
