My prediction is that if he stays healthy (major if), he’ll be ok. I just don’t see the upside of him, whereas I see serious upside with JPJ, Newton, and Dejean.

Interesting about these first two picks: both Alt and McConkey are arguably the best technicians at their respective positions. For all the talk about Harbaugh’s brand of smashmouth football, he’s not drafting lumberjacks, he’s drafting surgeons.

This is a very good point. And both had fathers that had significant and long NFL careers. I think this staff wants players with high proficiency and that are technicians -- but also that are complete players. I really think folks miss the fact that our WRs for years have been poor blockers. McConkey is not. But, he is so fun to watch running routes -- CBs literally have no idea what to do.
