I think the point is to create competition and depth, guys aren't just going to be handed starting jobs anymore...

I don't think Roman typically carries six WR. So they may be looking to move on from somebody already on the roster, or one of the rookies doesn't make the roster, or they decide to carry six. Simi Fehoko is technically on the roster but I'm assuming he's gone in the first round of cuts.

I guarantee Fehoko is gone in the first round of cuts. I don't even count him in the equation. That leaves six, and I don't know if they will all make the roster. I don't know if Roman typically carries six WR.

That's the only thing I worry about with Ladd. But drafting the two studs in the 7th round really helps.

This felt like an extremely well organized and CALCULATED draft - I'm impressed. Time to see if H & H have the golden touch when it comes to UDFA's.

I guess we are set on TE since we did not draft that position.

Yes, this is how the grown-ups do things.

SI gives us an "A" grade on draft:

Yep...no hint of wasting high picks on projects like, ahem, SOME GM's...

That would be exactly the kind of move Trader Joe might make...if Palmer's price is too high, let him go and someone ELSE shells out big bucks while we get that nice comp pick...

i think that it is premature to write up Palmer's plane ticket out of town just because we made two 7th round picks. let's see those guys play in a game.

also, if QJ does not improve like we all hope, his ass could become a question mark.

Just as I wanted. Address the offensive line in the first, then take care of the wide receivers later. I didn't expect Rice to fall to the seventh. No complaints from me in this draft.
