Permit me to elaborate for a moment here:

Each of us becomes more fluent in the 'language' of football, the longer we pay attention (unless you relied on Lee 'Hacksaw' Hamilton for your information, in which case you were horribly misdirected, but I digress...). And like with the acquisition of ANY language, one's UNDERSTANDING of words and terms precedes being able to SPEAK them.

Often, our more articulate football brothers will explain something football in a way where you go, "Oh! I always understood that was true, but had never heard it put into words that so clearly explained it before." It's one of the great things about a forum with a breadth of football experience.

All Rice needs to do to get Stick to give up #2 is to offer him a Jerry Rice SIGNED rookie card AND a SIGNED Jerry Rice football...that should do it...

So true! It takes listening to three hours of Neil DeGrasse Tyson for every hour you listened to Hacksaw, if you're going to undo the impact of Hacksaw's vapid-ness.
