After today FA signings won't count against any comp. picks. ( not that we'll get any) but might get done tomorrow.

You are correct. Releases/waives are not counted in the comp pic derby, only lapsed contracts, and only for a certain time.

Wife will want Cali over buffalo. So would any other sane human being.

As for Boston, there are a lot of connections in buffalo, but I think the chargers are going to be a better team.

It might just come down to money, and which place offers a better opportunity for playing time. I think if he came to the chargers, lowery would be cut and Boston would be inserted into the starting lineup.

Taxes might be a wash, Erie County is pretty high property taxes and I'm sure State and sales tax in NY are high

Carr (wish the Raiders had never drafted him!) wants to get paid. The Raiders say they will take care of him. One thing I heard about on NFL network last night was the state income tax for a guy like Carr is 13% in Ca and in Nevada it is 0! So if I am Carr, I want to wait until next year to get my huge bonus and contract. 13% is eye popping.
