Yes they both make some throws the other cannot. But what I noticed is how Patrick is comfortable being uncomfortable and hitting eject button and improv. And I have seen Herbert do it too. But also seem like Justin is trying to execute the play in a new system he isn't yet comfortable to the point it all slows down. So in other words ...Spanos constantly changing the HC/OC around him is not allowing his talents to shine as bright as they could where Mahomes is allowed to shine. Bring back a QB coach he is comfortable with will help. And having a better run game and OL and defense will take some pressure off. But he really needs to be able to grow in this system year after year after year. Then he will have his best opportunity to shine and win the Superbowl. No more changes. Hortiz, Harbaugh and Herbert and the same offensive scheme for the next 15 years. Multiple Superbowls. Harbaugh mentioned it.

Yes, Mahomes is elite at backyard scrambling and that has saved Reid’s ass since he became starter - not always or even all the time but enough times to take Chiefs from a very good team to a dynastic team. Chiefs still are winning AFCW every year the last half dozen regardless but its showed up in keeping them advancing in the playoffs every year.

As to the 4 or 5 pages about KC’s first Thurs game. I agree it helps BAL more than KC, the team traveling for Thurs game gets greater benefit of no game the prior weekend. Then they both benefit from 10 days to week 2. So what. KC earned that game, let them have it. Fuck KC, their reign doesnt just end in the future, it ends THIS YEAR.

The last two times playing at Cleveland was in October, and it was sunny both times. I forgot to mention New England as one of the other potential cold weather games. We've played at KC during a time when the weather is good there the last 3 years.

I hear a rumor about playing at LV in week 2. I wanted that in November or later.

Fuck KC, their reign doesnt just end in the future, it ends THIS YEAR.

Justice needs to be done for them them ending our division run in 2010. I want to end their 8 year reign like they did to us. How sweet it will be. When it does, that will be a long time coming. Maybe the league will see that the Chiefs winning it so damn much is getting boring and annoying.

He may not scheme it up but they practice plays breaking down and going off script. It's Patrick but Kelce and WRs know how to handle those situations too. It's not an accident

I didn't call it an accident. I called it backyard.

And you know some avg QB who can't throw accurately from different arm angles is not effectively playing backyard with Kelce no matter how much they let him practice off script. That avg QB will look like an accident not improv.

it's why they traded up for Patrick, he made some insane backyard throws in college that Andy cannot teach. He has always had QB who naturally had backyard football in them. It's not an accident the type of QBs he prefers. It's in the plan to have QB who can improvise and make plays. And he also sat Pat his rookie year.

One of Staley's huge failings was not giving his guys runs together before the games counted. Harbaugh won't make that mistake.
Important to get out of the shoot fast with KC in the division.

Belichick used to play Brady - probably more than most coaches as he said "you don't get better at playing football by not playing football" (or something along those lines)

I'm just looking for the Chargers schedule video. Hope they keep it going with the anime. Loved the last couple years.

Chargers are going to be at an advantage the first 5 games or so regardless of the opponent. There is really no film for teams to watch to plan for the Chargers. I can see them going 5-0 to 6-0 to start.
