Is it a job that is really needed though?

Yes. Marketing is very important. Obviously not as important as winning. But social media buzz is essentially in the same veins as having nice looking uniforms and merchandise. Now Harbaugh and company need to take care of the rest.

Yes, I think Big Jim gets involved in how the team is marketed. Hopefully he's embarrassed like the rest of us and puts an end to it next season. Successful teams win on the field, not in the marketing office.

2025
AFC EAST Bye week 5
NFC EAST Bye week 6
AFC SOUTH Bye week 7
NFC SOUTH Bye week 8
AFC NORTH Bye week 9
NFC NORTH Bye week 10
AFC WEST Bye week 11
NFC WEST Bye week 12

2026 you rotate WEST to weeks 5 & 6 and slide everyone else down a week, 2027 North weeks 5 & 6, 2028 South weeks 5 & 6, 2029 back to East every four year cycle or better yet a 8 year cycle by doing a sliding scale.

This just makes too much sense because after the bye that division should have to play one another so there is no more one team getting 2 weeks of preparation versus one team.only having 1 week of prep, seems like that has bitten us so many times especially again Andy Reid who is like 18-3 off a bye.

I, for one, am glad we have fewer primetime games...here in the midwest, win or lose, its past midnight before I can get to sleep, Im so wired...much prefer sunday games...though am surprised...figured Harbaugh back in the pros would garner more primetime coverage...we are in the running for a Saturday game, triple header, late in the season...that would be cool. Our game is one of five considered for 3 slots...looking at the lineup, if we are winning at that point, should get one easy.

Its a nice thought...but if you add that fixed parameter to the scheduling, you take away flexibility, and make opportune scheduling that much more difficult...make no mistake...while attempting to be fair, the league wants the best, most popular schedule for the viewing masses, and will err towards high profile matchups every week.

Matt Money Smith said that no Thursday Night game was because of the blow out last year in Vegas on Thursday night, which ultimately led to everything that’s happened up to right now. So I’ll take it.
But it’s actually a good thing because teams have shortened weeks between games when they play Thursday night.

that was the first thing I was searching for too. I hate Thurs games, they are a really bad idea for players imo. Although I think LAC has had good success rate in those games.

People need to understand that the schedule release is a big marketing event for the NFL. Teams are basically obligated to do what they need to in order to draw attention and get tickets. Social media team delivers win after win for the Chargers. Now the actual team need to pull their weight.

I personally like the Titans schedule release. Many teams are doing them - Packers, Falcons, Bears - its become a "thing"

I had to watch the Chargers a few times to get the jokes. I missed the Harrison Butker in the kitchen - that was fast they got that online

The Broncos in cap hell or something. Of course the Chiefs with TSwizz and the Kelces were easy. Atlanta with Kirk Cousins as deejay. Panthers, Cam Newton getting into a fight

My favorite, even more than the shade at the Broncos, Raiders and Butker was the Browns and Factory of Sadness
that said, agree that social media is important
but like you said, WIN SOME DAMN GAMES!!

And I am good with only three primetime games. Good with no Thursday games - those suck Even the one Monday night is in AZ - so unlike the Jets - thats an hour flight and home by midnight
