2024 Season Record Prediction thread

We are 5 - 3 at this point and before the season, I predicted we'd be 4 - 4 here. So ahead of schedule!

Now that we know our team better AND other teams, I could actually see the schedule playing out the rest of the way as I predicted before the season began. Losing to Cincy, Baltimore, and KC but winning all the others. Which would be phenomenal (though the Falcons game seems the scariest of that "winning" lot).

If it holds true, we'd finish 11 - 6 which should put us squarely in the playoffs and even getting a home game.

A game we were predicted to win.

Now comes the next four games which will determine if we are a real playoff team, or a year away. I don't see my preseason prediction being any different heading into these games. But I hope I'm wrong.

After a long analyse ...

At the bye, the Chargers should be 3-1.
Week 6 to week 10, 4-1
Week 15 at the end, 3-1
Week 11 to 14 is a very hard one.
I bet on an 11-6 season.

If they go 2-2 weeks 11 to 14, it will be a 11-6 season !

It's never easy for us. What I love is that don't recall a real Charger winning streak in quite awhile!

Even if we DO go 1 - 2 over the next three, we're in great position to charge into the playoffs. Somehow the Broncos game seems a little more dicey.

Well, we knew this one would be tough. We knew it'd probably be a loss. Though with the Ravens pass D so bad and with it being a home game...I had some hope.

But reality set in. As it almost always does. I still think the rest of the season plays out about how I envisioned prior.

If we lose to KC and win the remaining (as I had originally thought) we'll finish 12 - 5. Which is crazy amazing. But, with our current offensive woes (especially the washed up play caller) we'll probably finish these last five 2 - 3, which gets us to my original preseason prediction.

I think we do more with less under Harbaugh. Than less with more under Staley/Moore. I think we overachieve. Ive always felt that if our players under past coaches were coached the fundamentals and hyperfocused on the details...would make what we have look so different. Sure we have lots of new ingredients. But sometimes you just let the chef cook with what hes got. So i look at Harbaughs history and find great comfort in the hope...that he will lead us to the promised land. So i manifest positivity for the team and coaches. For the prep.

I feel like we sniff 10 wins. Maybe come up short.

9-10 wins. Then go big on free agency in 2025. We will be picking up some big names im certain. But also likely be perfect fits.

11-6 seems pretty reasonable. We have the NFL leading scoring D currently. The O is NFL #2 in penalties. That should be something that Harbaugh can have an impact on.
