And 3 of the first 4 picks are dts? Gimme a playmaker in the first 3 rounds somewhere...
Bosa out, and Higgins in? Ill think on your trench warfare, General Beach...but throw an Edge rusher in there somewhere., day 1 or 2....
and have sat/spent some time of late skimming vids and the such on your boy Ty and the Loveland phenom, and.... just not in my wheelhouse atm.... as just really like the IDL prospects.
and know we won't get all of 'em, and prolly not even any of 'em, and.... Corleone looks like a beast, and ditto for Omarr, and would love me some Grant, and of which would mean we didn't resign everyone we wanted on the Dline, and....
do think we could bring back Khalil 'n Bud, and find a fourth ED somewhere besides the top of the draft board ??
and do like Oronde Gadsden as a flex/receiving TE, and do like Raheim for us as well....
do not want to rest on our laurels on the Dside of things, as see major league talent on the Dline and w/a supplement of DBs later on.... Originally posted by DerwinBosa View PostAs I've said before, mock drafts are good for entertainment purposes and learning prospects' names, but that's about it. I just learned about Marshall pass-rusher Mike Green by reading a mock draft. I probably haven't seen Marshall play more than a few minutes this season (I may have turned its game on against Ohio State earlier in the year), so I'm glad I read a mock draft that had him going in the first round.
When it comes to mock drafts, former scouts such as Bucky Brooks and Daniel Jeremiah probably have the most credibility, as they worked in the NFL and most likely speak with teams through their contacts. But it is worth noting that the day before the draft this past April, Jeremiah said we would take J.C. Latham fifth overall, so who knows?
With that said, I see Tyler Warren going all over the place in mock drafts. PFF has him going 16th overall and USA today 20th. The Draft Network has him going 30th overall. Then there's Walter Football, which I have criticized in the past. That site has two mock draft "experts." One of them has Warren going 54th overall to the Denver Broncos, while the other has him being selected 82nd by the Arizona Cardinals.
So, I'm wondering how well thought of Warren is among real scouts in the NFL. At this time last year I remember seeing Brock Bowers going nowhere below 20th overall, and most mock drafts had him in the top ten. There was also no question that Bowers was the top tight end prospect in the last draft. I've read some sites ranking Warren below Colston Loveland and even Harold Fannin, Jr.
Could it be that Warren isn't actually a lock to be selected so high?

I could see Edge or IDL in round one but I dont think WR cant wait until round 6. I also would like to get a RB stud no later than round 4. Sanders is ok but there are quite a few studs ahead of him I would rather have.

it was a cap bomb year. They hoped to hit lotto on Hurst and Chark, didn't hit on either. JK+Gus was a better hit but still should be an upgrade target“Less is more? NO NO NO - MORE is MORE!”

maybe we replace Simi, but he's pretty much ps/WR4/5 material, and maybe Stone Smartt gets replaced ??
the biggest need for me on O (after an OG) is a Dobbins hedge/replacement, and.... prefer Raheim later than losing out on a prime lineman in favor of an earlier on RB.
if we could get Tetairoa I might be more inclined to consider the such, or if it was Bijan this year, then I'd be more open to the such, albeit just see the IDL as much more impactful for this team than plugging perceived holes on the Oside ??ED Matayo Uiagalelei, CB Domani Jackson, OG Earnest Greene III, DT Dontay Corleone, OC Iapani Laloulu, WR J Michael Sturdivant, LB Eric Gentry

if you draft the TE, then you miss out on a NT that could largely impact the whole of the defense.... if you pass on a second DT, are you lessening your chances of a SB appearance ??
and no OG, means more moaning & groaning on game day around here.... ??ED Matayo Uiagalelei, CB Domani Jackson, OG Earnest Greene III, DT Dontay Corleone, OC Iapani Laloulu, WR J Michael Sturdivant, LB Eric Gentry

Dissly is useful but a blocking TE2 who catches the odd pass is his most suitable role. He has played pretty well but he has also dropped some beautiful Herbert passes and cant be counted on as a consistent playmaker. he was no factor yesterday.
I could move on from Edwards no problem, there are better solutions. This RB draft class is the best in years, we need one from there to go with Dobbins if his injury status is ok to resign.
Not sure these are "perceived holes" We have among the worst skill groups in the entire NFL and our offense barely functions at times, pretty well every 2nd half of most games
