I must be the only one that has hesitations about Golden. He ran a super quick 40 but his game speed doesn't seem as quick as that time. Traits matter at WR, no doubt, but whenever I see testing disconnects with game speed I get worried about the overdraft. Don't get me wrong I am not saying "do not draft" as he would help the team I just feel like we have the need for a bigger/contested catch X like Macmillan/Jayden Higgins etc.

Jayden Higgins is being talked about as a 1st round prospect. It’s funny cause of his name but he basically is Tee Higgins all over again. I also am seeing a lot of Tre Harris being discussed as a viable top 60 pick that can play immediately.

Offer Trey Pipkins-OT/OG, Two 6th Rd 2025 Picks and Conditional 3rd in 2026, that converts to a 2nd Rd pick if Hendrickson leads the league in sacks in 2025.
Then Bengals can feel they got a starter right now for their OL, two additional picks right now for this draft, and then a chance for 2nd Rd pick as well.
The 6mil saved by trading Pipkins can be part of his signing bonus on a new deal. Make it a 10mil signing bonus plus his 16 mil salary and he gets 26mil this year. Add 2 years for 25m each year. And it's a 3y/76 mil deal total. Make 51 mil guaranteed all paid in first 2 years. Year 3 if he falls off a cliff in production you can cut and save 21mil. Otherwise you keep him and let him play out the contract and then hit FA, or if he still a sack monster add 1 year extension.
TPB, What do you think?

I get the draft is good for DLine and Rb - but Hortiz needs to give Herbert the weapons
Herbert is best in play action and pushing the ball down the field
Hortiz and Harbaugh and Romans know this - they aren't stupid
He needs weapons that will allow him to do that.
These 1-2- year contracts are just guys it's not the Charger's guy. The Charger's guy will come in the draft. MW is just a guy to fill a hole till the find an X WR in the draft.Time to put my money where my mouth is: Hampton will be better than Jeanty!

I do not see us including multiple picks in the deal.
Also condition on which 3rd become 2nd is ridiculous and Cincinnati says no.
Keep trying babe.

The 2 BEST ball catchers in this draft are Warren and Loveland.... and they both filll our greatest NEED...... none of our TE's are real all round TE's who a QB can depend on.... you cannto depend on guys who cant get open or catch balls.... Loveland is a good blocker and elite receiver.....
We need to trade up for Loveland for Herbert to finally have a real full time EVERY DOWN TE who will be here for a decade or more so Herbert can have the chemistry that Rivers had with Gates, Fouts had with Winslow, Brady had with Gronk, and Mahomes had with Kelsey....
a great TE helps your OL and QB by getting open quickly so most blitzes are a waste of effort because ball is gone so quickly.....and it will help our other receivers get less coverage....
A great TE is the Center of an offense like a great center in basketball..... and is the greatest mismatch for defenses to try and cover....QB is the point guard calling plays and spreading the ball to the right people...

I like Golden more than Higgins and Id venture he won't be a first rounder. Id think he will be there at 55. But he isn't one of my top guys I like.
Jeremiah doesn't have him in his too 50. Don't know who has him that high.Last edited by Boltjolt; 03-21-2025, 10:49 AM.

I have said it, would rather use a 3rd to get Loveland if the reports show him to be the right long term answer over sending a 5th for Andrews or Goeddert - who are short term answers
