What are thoughts about the play of Alohi Gilman this year so far? When i watch games he seems like a liability in coverage this year so i looked a little and his overall PFF grade is 37.5

Gilman had a good season, in fact his best season, last year. I don't think he has regressed to a 37.5. Putting aside questions about the legitimacy of PFF ratings, I agree that he doesn't seem as on point this season, but I don't know why. Possibly, as wu-dai clan suggests, the "changings casts."

He also suffered a knee injury earlier in the year the didn't look good, I think he's been playing thru it but it wouldn't surprise me if he has arthroscopic surgery after the season...

I had softball last night. One of my teammates and her hubs, who was at the game, are Browns fans and talked my ear off about Herbert. They hope the Browns can go on a run and get in, but they fear Herbert, after watching him torch their defense twice. They fear he is starting to breakout after the Saints game. They think Herbert will beat them again.

Sounds like Browns fans: fear and hope, but a premium on fear.

IIRC, Alohi is in the final year of his rookie contract, so I expect this to be his final season with the Bolts. He's a very smart player, but limited physically, and IMO will slide into being a reserve as this season progresses.

Gilman has always been a better SS than FS...he just can't keep up with the speedier wideouts...Bolts need a burner FS (who can also tackle) to put on the other side of that 2-deep safety shell that Minter runs...

This was what Woods was supposed to be - too bad he couldn't tackle . . . . . . . . . . . whatever happened to him anyway? Is he on a practice squad somewhere?
