DD never gonna be a legit WR imo. Don’t know why he’s not better at stop-redirection-restart but he’s just not shown he is yet. He’s good at full speed slight shift in direction aka returns
Palmer has never looked recovered from last year
Fehoko (backup level to begin with) broke his arm?
Rice never showed he was ready in PS games. Maybe next year, maybe never - tbd
It was never a great WR plan - they had a plan based on hope, focusing more on other roster areas. It bit them. This is a 2025 project now
I’d like to see if Shenault can surprise, won’t be shocked if he’s active this week - he has some athleticism - can he find it?“Less is more? NO NO NO - MORE is MORE!”

When you look at the WR depth chart, there are only 3 guys: McConkey, QJ and Palmer. Chark and Reagor are dead weight. They contribute little to nothing. DD as discussed above is just a returner. He gets some carries on sweeps, but those plays haven't been very effective. He adds nothing as a WR. With QJ still struggling, and very little receiving production from the TEs or RBs, Herbert's options are very, very limited in the passing game. Some may not agree, but this offense could really use Austin Ekeler. He was a safety valve who could turn a dump off into a 25 yard gain or a TD. He was a beast in the screen game. I'm hoping Vidal can develop into that type of player.

But I agree that a fast rb in the draft that is good in the passing game would be very helpful.

The biggest thing that most here don't understand is that the remaining, local Charger fan is overwhelmingly happy to still be here. We are very proud of our city, communities, and region. There is no other place we'd rather be... whereas most of you have left for financial/political reasons. Many are born-and-raised... living amongst an onslaught of out-of-staters. The out-of-staters have understandably remained loyal to their childhood teams. And a lot of the out-of-staters have no interest in football at all. Largely, I believe the average "Angelino" can be categorized this way, too.
When the Chargers moved it was a personal attack on locals. In essence, they told their loyal season ticket holders that their long, financial support was not enough. Even in the leanest years, there were still around 45,000 season ticket holders. The good years, the number grew to around 55,000. Even though I am loyal to the Chargers, I was never one of those season ticket holders. I couldn't afford them in my younger years... and couldn't commit to more than 2 games per year in my not-so-younger years. As everyone has pointed out... there are many different activities available to us year-round. And having married an out-of-stater who is not a football fan... season tickets is not a family priority. Whereas, the ex-San Diego Chargers season ticket crew made this a family priorroty. They spent most of Saturday night and Sunday morning cooking, marinating, and packing the family RV for tailgating at the Murph Sunday morning.
So when the Chargers decided that luxury boxes were more important than their decades-long loyal season ticket holders... the loyalist said, "Fuck You!" They lost 50+% of their loyal fans. These people are never coming back... as witnessed by personal friends, family, and co-workers. Marty Caswell's article (and TV ratings) bear this out.Protect the QB

Play great defense
