i agree, if they wanted to lay down, they would sit Rodgers. Plus, i want to see Cincy sneak into the playoffs - they are fun to watch and would be a seed below us who could cause some damage.

If the Bengals got in, the Chargers hosting the AFCCG would not be outside the realm of possibility. Although the Bengals' D is so bad, and they'd have to play @Balt and at @Buff, it seems more likely they lose one of those games.

Listened to NFL Sirius as I drove back from a gig last night. #1 seed has been in SB 46 times vs 3 times for #5 seed. Or something like that, it was late lol

Thats why those early September games are so critical. The wise ones treat every regular season game like a playoff. They matter for seeding.

Bengals beat the Steelers, meaning that-- with a win over the Raiders tomorrow-- the Bolts will have secured the (coveted) 5th seed.

Emphasis on the *could be*.

IMO, they'd have to have a 21 point lead at the half for that to happen, and the Bolts aren't exactly a team known for bursting from the gate quickly.

I expect the Raiders to put up a fight, but to ultimately be subdued by the better team.

The Chargers went up 20-7 at the half in NE last week. The Patriots mailed it in in the 2nd half. My guess is the Raiders will do the same if the Chargers repeat that tomorrow.
