It means he would have to play so many snaps. So Herbert gets hurt and he beats out Heinecke for the snaps

I think its a solid signing. Low risk. Now if the contract is like $4m guaranteed - probably would have a different opinion. A couple million with incentives - good with it
He hasn't shown much but Easton Stick didn't either

I guess they want a back up QB from NDSU on the roster

We need talented players. An explosive tackling machine doesn't seem too out of line. It would depend on who else is available when and if we take him.

One of Jalen Royals, Elic Ayomanor, Jayden Higgins will likely be there at 55. Do we need a 4th LB more than a talented WR?

Could list RB, DL, or other positiions as well.

All things being equal talent wise - meaning the WR and LB are like neck and neck in the grading chart - WR all day!!!

Chargers have 7 needs and off the ball LB isn't one of them. That doesn't mean turning down talent - always can use good football players. But - I just hope when the pick is in, the board is right, the talent meets the need

I don't know why the need thing always come up in the draft. The Chargers are a team that has to continue to get younger and add talent to the core of the team. If they don't get WR, TE, or any other position then wait till next draft but you definitely skip over talent just to draft someone for need.

Agreed. You don't turn down talented players just because you may not have a need this year or a need compared to other positions. The draft is where you get the talent. Free agency is just to bring up the floor.

But the Chargers roster is all about FLOOR. There is not enough ceiling. There are little EXPLOSIVES

This roster also has more NEEDS than you think..if you want to progress from last year and actually beat some top teams that is. LB is the least of our worries. The offense is a worry based on what we have seen so far from this group.

There is talk that Higgins could slip into the first round. A lot of scouts seem to like him and hope he stays under the pre-draft hype. He is a big guy that moves very fluid for a guy his size. It will be interesting to see where he goes.

Chargers have 7 areas of need and this is my order. I agree with you - the offense needs a "jolt of electricity" (pun intended)

RB with some juice
IDL - pass rush
Edge
IOL
