If we keep Dobbins (I hope)... that's a 1000 yard rusher as your #3 RB.
If Hampton can duplicate his last 2 years, we'll be a Top-5 rushing team.
We will punish defenses and force them to play the run. Zion and Bozeman will be fine in that scenario.
If you force a defense to play their blocks and gaps... that slows down a pass rush. It negates our weakness along the OL.
Replacing Pipkins was a must... he sucked as a run blocker. I'm not afraid to run right or left... and we will.

MW deep vs a smaller CB is a give-me.
Ladd vs an open middle (LB's up to stop the run) is a give me.
Tre Harris will get good match-ups... and his route running (and sense of space)... is farther along than most rookies.
Y'all hate Quentin Johnston. But he will get his chances (reduced as they may be). I can't wait for him to force some to eat their words.

Picking up Najee and drafting Hampton will allow this offense to explode. Harbaugh and Roman now have their pieces.
    Time to ride!
    Protect the QB
    Run the ball
    Play great defense

agree.... and with all the new receiving targets we have and the speed they have, MW is no longer going to be convered by a number one or 2 or even 3 CB.... he will beat 3rd and 4th level CB's consistently...

Having so many play makers and options will keep defenses honest and make it impossible to know where the ball is going.... or even whether its a run or pass, since our Big RB's can all catch....

It will be different, for sure. RBs, WRs, TEs, lots more quality and numbers and we'll be running more effective plays. I look forward to seeing them in action at Canton and onward.

Canton will be a scrub-fest! Which is okay. Plenty of interesting noobs to take a look at.

Went blue chip OT last year, blue chip iol FA in offseason, blue chip RB in draft.

Harbs out there with a hard hat, pick axe, face blackened from coal, digging, mining for gems in other positions.

This will be the biggest power RB group Chargers have had since Muncie and Pete Johnson.... lol
Was there anything more fun than watching Muncie all coked out flying thru defenders like a runaway locomotive? Fucking berserker, i loved that guy!

It's Harris and Hampton, and then I don't know. Some are so quick to rule out Vidal. I think he has just as good of a chance to be the #3 or #4 back as Sanders or Haskins. If Dobbins doesn't return, I think Vidal could very well make the team as the #3 or #4 back. Yeah, yeah, yeah...he did a terrible job in pass pro last season. It's been said about five thousand times on this forum by those who are strangely against him. It was his rookie year out of Troy University. The guy can be coached up to learn how to block. We'll see how he does in preseason.

IMO, MW is the #2 WR right now. He's proven. Tre will have to earn his stripes. Justin and Mike already have history.
If defenses put their #3 or #4 CB on Mike... fine with me. Mostly, defenses play zone. And Mike has great value in that scenario.
He'll stretch defenses deep... he'll occupy safeties... he'll open up the middle for players like Ladd, Tre, and QJ.

Let the WR's and TE's fight it out for formation reps. Ladd is a given... compete for PT.

That's true. But if Dobbins comes back one of those guys will be the number 4 and Haskins is the best in pass pro and plays STs. I'm not expecting Sanders to make the team if Dobbins comes back and not sure he does anyways. If he does, then he earned it, I just don't expect it.

Harbaugh may have said he was impressed with him but he will keep the best guys and Haskins he knows very well as a former Wolverine. It's nice to have better depth because Najee Harris likely won't be here next year.

I think I'd pass on Dobbins let's get younger and (slightly) cheaper at RB.
