That's pretty good isn't it? Not all for us but the man was an elite WR by most definitions and was drafted the Chargers.

I'm not knocking Keenan. IMO the best route runner in the NFL when healthy with great hands.

      Keenan was clutch when needed.

The Chargers' defense was a dumpster fire the entire four years of the Staley era. In one season, Minter has turned this D into an elite unit, leading the league in pts allowed.

He has resurrected the careers of players like Fulton and Molden and he has a pair of day 3 rookie QBs playing well.

This defense is so well prepared, they know exactly what the opposing offense is doing.

Everybody knows their role. It is playing above the skill level of its collective players.

Under Staley the run defense was a constant embarrassment throughout his tenure. One season later, Minter's run defense is #6 overall, averaging fewer than 100 yds per game, better than the 49ers currently.

I hope we get Minter for one more season after this season before he is poached for a HC job.
Staley never had the right guys ..... suddenly, Minter has all these studs.

I just watched a PFF preview of Chargers-Cards. The guy said the Chargers defense might be a pretender because outside of the Chiefs they've only played against bottom tier offenses.

The Cardinals are 16th in total offense.

Common sense says that playing bad offenses makes your D look better. I have no problem with their take. Just imagine how it would look if Staley was here…

Anybody consider that our defense helped put those offenses in the gutter...and Chiefs only scored 17 on us?

Nix is looking like a semi pro QB this week passing. Last week we made him look like a chump until garbage time.

Suddenly the Niners defense isn't as good. What could be different? Oh, Staley is showing the first time DC the ropes. May even be suggesting play calling.

However I'll go along with Telesco is a shit GM. I saw Raider fans upset that they signed our PS LB so fast while Devin White is still available and needing a LB lol. Things we used to get upset about.

Man isn't it sweet seeing him ruin depth from another view!

Nix is a rookie, he continues to miss receivers, over throws and other weird timing issues, all of these things that rookie QBs do, he could turn into something under Payton...

I defended TT for a long time and even put a lot of the blame on John Spanos, now that we have a real GM Telesco has been exposed...Staley only got hired in SF because his "system" was geared to stop the Shanahan offense and on a couple of occasions he shined against bot Kyle and Mcdaniels in Miami...I don't think he'll be there next year...
