If he doesn't come back, why would a team trade for him much less use a 4th rnd pick when they can use that 4th rnd pick on a WR in the draft?

There's an example on our own team of what we could possibly get.

Jalen Reagor was a 1st round pick for the Eagles who signed a 4 year rookie contract but only played 2 years before the team traded him.

On August 31, 2022, Reagor was traded to the Minnesota Vikings in exchange for a 2023 seventh-round pick as well as a 2024 conditional fourth-round pick.

The conditions of the 4th round pick were never achieved and Minnesota waved Reagor after one season.

How pathetic is the Charger receiving corp that Johnston and Reagor are their starting wide receivers?

There's always injuries. Higgins is fine but think one more proven quality receiver is required as we have no idea if Rice is going to cut it and Fehoko is marginal.
