I like Dissly. I think we got more out of him than should've been expected. He shouldn't be asked to be TE1 though. If Engram could come in and be 80% of his '23 self WITH Dissly then that's at least 1 piece of the puzzle we could semi forget about.

Im warming up to the Engram idea...we simply are not going to spend anything higher than a 5th round pick on TE. We cant. Too many other needs. At least Engram is a sure handed, savvy receiver...better than we have had last several years at the position. Much as it pains me, Herbert will have to wait another year or more for a Gates/Gronk/Kelce type friend.

I like Dissly too. I like him when he’s the 3rd best blocking TE in the NFL and not trying to imitate something he’s not though..
I think they need to upgrade the TE room, but I would try to trade for Andrews 1st. Maybe they already have…

Quick list off the top of my head: Hurts, Josh Allen, Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, Kyler Murray, Burrow, Tua (when healthy), Love, Geno Smith, Darnold, Purdy, Baker Mayfield, Goff, Stroud, Stafford.

All would improve this team significantly. And if this team needed a win -- do or die -- given the history, all listed are better options. I mean, we have seen Herbert choke against the Raiders, the Texans, and the Jaguars. Hard to recall of any big game he has won since the Rose Bowl -- and his performance there was luke warm at best.

Arm strength and spirals mean nothing if you can't read a defense.

If Andrews is released and the chargers sign engram, won’t be happy. Hortiz needs to make that call
