Kupp ran a 4.62 at the combine in 2017. He doesn't have "speed", he's a very good route runner to create separation. Thats ok with me, separation is king for me - just noting ...Justin Herbert 2026 MVP Watch

I like that optionOriginally posted by Jack Burton View Post
Lots of talk that ATL won’t be able to franchise Dalman as it’s too expensive and he’s going to hit FA. I think it’s 25 MIL to franchise O line. Guess they shouldn’t have given all their coin to Cousins…
The best option is to sign Dalman who’s only 26 long term, sign Bozeman as the reserve interior o lineman and then go get Zack Martin and Tee Higgins or Josh Sweat.
Then draft another G in the 3rd to 5th rounds.

By the time the Chargers are ready for a deep playoff push beyond getting embarrassed in the wild card round, Garrett will be well into his 30s. Kupp is already broken down. Hard pass on both. Keep the 10 draft picks and let Hortiz cook. He reminds me of a young AJ Smith before he got desperate in the draft.Originally posted by Charge! View Post
Agree.... partly..... we do have alot of holes to fill, but we still need more elite players, so Garrett would be ideal(so we can let Bosa and Mac go saving more $$$). depending on the cost, though the price is likely too high...... but if Chargers can fix middle of OL in FA, and maybe even add mid range dependable vet WR like Kupp who can play inside and outside and catch, block and still has speed....we can draft our first diference making receiveing TE since Gates(sorry Henry was a good, but never a difference making TE) Loveland, DT/DE's, RB's.... and depth so we can actually be a threat to KC and advancing in playoffs.....
Can Chargers trade Bosa for a mid round choice(3-5) or do we get more if he signs as a FA?ESPN Screename: GoBolts02

From OTC below ... NFL does not segregate OT vs IOL in the franchise tag equation - that makes it hard to tag an IOL player.
2025 Projected Franchise and Transition Tenders
Pos Franchise Tag Transition TagQB $41,325,000 $35,267,000 LB $27,050,000 $22,612,000 WR $25,693,000 $22,523,000 OL $25,156,000 $22,745,000 DE $24,727,000 $20,769,000 DT $23,468,000 $18,934,000 CB $20,357,000 $17,198,000 S $19,626,000 $15,598,000 TE $14,241,000 $12,069,000 RB $13,629,000 $10,823,000 ST $6,459,000 $5,830,000
Dalman to me should be priority #1. Hes a ruthless, nasty, physical C who is young. LAC could steal themselves a perennial pro bowl level C for the next 10 years and they have money to burn.
Then surround Dalman with experienced vets like Martin with Bozeman as the reserve interior guy.
I’d love it if they got RB Omarion Hampton to pair up with Dobbins, Vidal, Haskins. Get TE Mason Taylor in the 2nd to pair with Dissly and you have the makings of a Harbaugh offense. Then grab Tee Higgins in FA and draft a G, DT, CB and S in no particular order the rest of the way.
I just think the whole teams success going forward is going to be based on the interior O line. Fix that and the rest is gravy….

It's almost a reason for drafting a day 1 starter at ORG in round one.Originally posted by Charge! View Post

Chargers should be able to get Dalman, an OG as well as Higgins or Sweat in FAOriginally posted by dmac_bolt View Post

The Falcons do have cap issues but they can release 3 players (Jarrett, Matthews and another DL) and get over $30m or space - IF they want to keep Dalman

Your reason is why I think its time to move on from Mack as well - unless he signs for like $15m or less. Because how many years, truly does Mack have left. Garrett probably has 3 to 4 good ones. Garrett would be two years younger than when the Chargers traded for Mack.Originally posted by Boltx View Post

But unless Mack takes a pay cut - I think its time to move forward with Edge - go younger. Maybe upgrade a different position on the Front 7 - somebody brought up what Chris JOnes does for KC. Minter can work his magic.

I am not really into giving up draft assets for injury prone 32 year olds. For that reason I am out on Kupp. I am in the younger/faster camp. Aside from QJ, young WRs are coming into the NFL and making an impact like never before in the NFLOriginally posted by dmac_bolt View Post

Get younger and a true complement to Ladd. If you want an older WR, 32+ - Adams makes more sense than Cooper and Keenanb - though he costs more

For sure, much will change but a very exciting off season. It great that Hortiz has a lot of flexibility on how he attacks this off season.Originally posted by wu-dai clan View Post

A great follow.
There will be pivot points for us in our mocks by the time we get to April post UFA craze and draft risers, fallers.
This will be one of the most interesting, wide open off seasons I can remember.
