SSS always provides great detailed and informed opinions.

As he states here, it's a matter of preferred flavor and roster build fit moreso than talent level.

To me this leads to midround value.

Also I like our top 3 3grouped together more than most.

McConkey gives production and deep threat.

MW works sidelines and contested catches when nothing else is open.

QJ is working hard and I project great improvement.

DD is there; maybe Reagor.

A receiving TE + our running attack covers the rest.

It's not the WR group is horrible, but it needs true #1 X for the future. MW is here for a year. Unless that is Rice, and he has a breakout year this year.

The Chargers are 50mil under the cap currently but that is without Mekhi Becton, Naquan Jones, Andre James, and Da’Shawn Hand.

James signed for 3yr/24mil
Becton signed for 2yr/20mil
Jones signed for 1yr/?mil- Can't find out how much he signed for yet.
Hand signed for 1yr/ up to 3.35mil

I think we need more details from the contracts to see what they are going to cost against the cap this year.

On a side not, Hortiz was able to sign 2 d-linemen (Hand and Jones) who are on the rise for fairly cheap. It's not too often teams let players go that are on the rise.

So, I did a little more digging on this. I think it was lazy journalism that reported the same deal as with the Raiders.

According to Spotrac it is a 1yr/1.17mil deal with a cap hit 1.03mil. I'll link it below:
