I don't think he'll go for that low. I think someone will trade a higher pick or picks for him and pay him, the guy is a very talented player, just high risk imo.

Looking at the D-line on the roster now, remind me, how many spots did we carry on the IDL last year during the regular season? Seems like Caldwell was drafted to replace Ford, but who on this list could fill in for Fox? I don't think that player is on the roster which leads me to believe that they'll draft another DT tomorrow...seems like we have a lot of bodies now with no real replacement for Fox...

I don't think Matlock will be getting much time on the defensive line, if any at all. If you include Matlock, we had six interior defensive linemen last season, with Poona, Tart, Ogbonnia, Fox, and Egboigbe as the other five. Egboigbe hardly played. He's going to have to step it up this season. I think Hortiz may draft some competition for him tomorrow.

Through no fault of Hortiz and Harbaugh, it seems we will still be without a Pro Bowl or All-Pro talent at defensive tackle. We haven't had one since Jamal Williams made the Pro Bowl in 2007 and All-Pro in 2006.

I remember Fout's offensive line and boy did that make a difference. Best offenses ever. It all start with the line.

OL is definitely still a need. if not during the draft, it has to be a big priority post-draft. the advantage with post-draft is that you can pick up some experienced guys (with maybe less upside overall). Hortiz has some cap room post-draft to make moves.

I personally think James is going to excel at center like he did when he played 2 years back under our scheme before the duhs switched from it. He was a good center then.

to me its just LG where competition will be had…prob a draftee here to add depth.
