There were some comments made by Harbaugh & Hortiz at the end of season re Bosa--Mack that sure sounded like early negotiating talking points and not much more.

This offseason could go in several directions.

    Diligence required.
    We play modern Harball.

Also on Chargers related podcast it was stated he played 44% of snaps on 24.

Why not throw those money on Trey Smith (a bit more ofc) and draft Edge in round 1-2? For me it is a no brainer.

Also I believe a FA vet WR on 1-2 years deal is a must Adams, Cooper etc I do not want a project

Ryan Kelly as a C on 2 years deal anyone? We could do development C in 3rd or 4th round then.
Looks closer to 65% of snaps to me ... not sure what the team total defense snaps were, only who had the most which is just under 1000. He took the 8th most snaps on the D. If we don't resign Mack, who would not count in comp pick calculations, they have to sign someone else who would count against comp formula - the team can't bet on drafting two starting caliber edge players. Even if they sign him, they still need to draft an Edge imo.

Seems Mack Back is the right attack. And i agree, no need to start insulting him about pay. He'll be reasonable, but I saw numbers suggesting under $10M, thats not close to fair market and risks losing him.

Any comp pick if we lost Mack won't be aware until the 2026 draft and does not help us this year.

Noone is insulting Mack he was good for us. Just can't see a point of signing him on Von Miller like deal.

          1-2 rd I meant rd 1 or 2.

If we sign him it will be front loaded with exit after year 1.

I got an enthusiastic "we want Mack" and a non-committal "Whatever" regards Bosa from H&H comments..

I think Mack is a must have for one more season.

Bosa has to be cut and losing both of your top 2 edge rushers is just too much to replace in one offseason, especially relying on the draft which is often a crap shoot.

Replace Bosa in 2025 and Mack in 2026.

Mack is a stud and has one more elite season of play in the tank. He’s a freak of nature.

Re Bosa: "We might keep him on his current contract."

                LOL. Cheap talk.

Hope you are doin' ok, sonora, going thru some changes.

Pretty sure Mack could count in the comp pick formula - but he maxes out as a 5th round pick

I think in the mid teens guaranteed, with some others for incentives - one year rolling type deal - is fair. As just like OC - I don't see better options
If I saw better options - my mind might change

I am good with that, but ona one year deal. Sounds like Mack might be ok with that if he is close to retirement

the more I read about Tee Higgins the less I want him.... in fact I def don't want him.

signing him would be a Mike Dub redux.... all you read about is "if he is on the field," and.... his production is easily attainable for half the price.... will be borderline shocked if JH2 fork over the cash for him..... we have way too many pressing needs and valuable assets/contributors within our own FA ranks to bother with a single talent @wideout.... just a huge no thank you.

have posted it before, and.... think the price is right for Mack @$15m, and.... he def is in danger of being a budget casualty, depending on how Joe decides to spend his FA $$

and re: Asante.... if he gets $14m on the open market, and even tho it's only half of what Higgins is forecasted to haul in, would still not budge on anything over $8m/year for him.

will also add that think the both of Khalil and Keenan both have a good two years in 'em and are well worth signing.... @the right price.

Snap count will go down plus their effectiveness. If they can't get over that mental hump of their own free will I'm more than happy to go shopping in the draft.
