TT could not draft or sign a good OL in 11 years despite stating his intention throughout the 11 years to build a line of scrimmage team.

one good OL player in 11 years is horrifically, historically bad.

He also drafted MG3, who I'd argue was a decent back. He drafted what seemed like 20 other RBs that would never make an average team's practice squad.

What I've said is his window is almost closed and his clock is ticking loudly. I still think thats true but I'd love to see him compete and turn it around.

Maybe it will be, but after watching last year and seeing the moves they made this year, it's doubtful.

I actually really like the James signing and if he's the starting center, I'm happy with the improvements. That being said, is not hard to see why fans wouldn't be happy with the changes made.
Yeah, and then you end up with D.J. Fluker and Orlando Franklin on your starting offensive line. No, thanks!

I don't know man, he's done more in 1.5 years on the job and two drafts than I ever thought possible, granted we were not accustomed to draft picks contributing like this under Telesco so our point of reference was a bit skewed...That said, there are still limitations to how much can be done in one offseason, in part because players have to be available in the draft, free agency, and thru trades...31 other clubs are all competing for the same pool of players too...

UDFA WR Dalevon Campbell just had the catch of the day. 50 yard TD on a beautiful pass from Trey Lance. Both guys have been really good today.

This guy is having a good camp. Good stash on PS at 6'4' 220 runs 4.4

Really really hoping to see 1 or 2 UDFAs or in this case, 1 year vet, stand out against presumably subpar competition, hopefully siggesting legitimate starting talent.
We typically have at least 1 stand out every year, but it's been a while.
My money (little money) is on Rocket looking like a beast in a few preseason games.

All this and he’s a solid tackler too. Tackles is what makes this D work. We got us a competitor.

Here is the Chargers Camp Report from Monday's practice:

              1. Reed keeps showing up

Bookmark this name when you're watching the Chargers preseason opener on Thursday night.

              Nikko Reed.

The undrafted free agent cornerback had another strong day Monday as he continues to be one of the brightest players on the entire roster throughout camp.

Reed, who had a pick 6 on Thursday, has now flashed in almost all of the Bolts 10 practices so far in camp.

"I would say [consistency] is probably the most impressive," Chargers Defensive Coordinator Jesse Minter said Monday after practice. "The old adage is, 'Make a play a day and people will start to know who you are.'

"Especially if you're undrafted, it's like how do you get people in the building, organization to really remember who that guy is? You make a play every day," Minter continued. "That kind of stands out, everybody starts talking about you whether it's the veteran players, everybody that's involved in this decision.

"I think he's doing a great job, consistent, competitive, love where his head is at, love where he's at," Minter said. "Excited to see him play real football on Thursday."

Monday's practice make perhaps the defensive play of the day in the red zone.

With wide receiver JaQuae Jackson running a go ball toward the end zone, Reed stayed with him step for step before diving at that last second for a pass breakup.

The play drew cheers from both the crowd and defensive sideline, and wasn't Reed's only strong play of the session, too.

He also locked down Dez Fitzpatrick in a 1-on-1 drill to force an incompletion.

Reed, who played collegiately at Colorado and Oregon, is listed at 5-foot-10 and 180 pounds.

"I like where the room is at ... young guys like Nikko have stepped in and taken of the extra opportunities," Minter said. "Sometimes the guy that takes advantage of the extra opportunity can make a push."
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.
              Let’s win one for Mack.

TT also missed on almost every pick after the first round..... his only real hits were first rouond obvious BPA's like Bosa, Herbert, Slater, DJ..... Fluker, Gordon and the RB from fresno state who was glass were big flops..... MW was a great jump ball WR , but not a high first round type WR.... he was over drafted...

This is what a 35 pound weight loss looks like.

From Jan. 12 to April 22, when the Chargers reported for Phase 1 of the offseason program, Salyer lost 25 pounds. He lost an additional 10 pounds after returning to the facility and resuming training with Herbert. Salyer is now playing at 332 pounds.

The only thing Slater is working through is he's "working through" part of that $114 mil he just got from the Bolts for that extension...
