I got it one piece at a time.
Verse 1
I walked into LA with a plan in my hand
A raven to a charger, with a vision for this land
I’d spent years makin’ champions, scouting out in Baltimore
But this team needed buildin’, and patience opens doors
Chorus
I got it one piece at a time, just the way I knew
New faces in that locker room, the fighter’s spirit grew
With cap space tight and talent thin, I shuffled up the line
Yeah, I built these Chargers, one piece at a time
Verse 2
Kept the ones worth keepin’, Bosa, Mack and James
Reworked all the numbers, so they’d stay in the game
Drafted young and hungry, found grit among the vets
Mixed the speed with wisdom—hadn’t seen nothin’ yet
Chorus
I got it one piece at a time, rewired every bolt
Turned a five-win squad to fighters, who battle to the colt
No shortcuts or quick fixes, just a steady uphill climb
We’re winnin’ in LA, one piece at a time
Bridge
From the draft room to the sidelines, working late in the night
With Coach Harbaugh by my side, yeah, we’re doin’ it right
The city’s restless waiting, now it’s time for our run
All these Sundays we’re stackin’, the real work’s just begun
Verse 3
Now the playoffs are calling, wild cards in our hands
Eleven wins behind us, in this golden, shining land
So if you ask how we made it—how we changed our fate and time
Just remember: every dynasty starts one piece at a time
Chorus / Outro
We got it one piece at a time, laid every brick with care
From the basement to the playoffs, Charge the night, beware
This team’s got a new engine, and a Super Bowl in mind
‘Cause Joe built the Chargers—one piece at a time!
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.
Let’s win one for Mack.

Didn’t AJ take Mathews? His post-LT trade-up draft move to cover treating LT like shit on the way out. In fairness, LT was fading when he left - the curse of the 30yo NFL RB got him tooOriginally posted by Charge! View Post
TT also missed on almost every pick after the first round..... his only real hits were first rouond obvious BPA's like Bosa, Herbert, Slater, DJ..... Fluker, Gordon and the RB from fresno state who was glass were big flops..... MW was a great jump ball WR , but not a high first round type WR.... he was over drafted...Justin Herbert 2026 MVP Watch

- Im not surprised Lance could take QB2.
- IOL story does not inspire. Staff appears to be recognizing the lack of excellence in their preset B-Z plan. Getting late for major shake up, they should have been rotating more guys much more much earlier than now.
- Ottito surging! Thats great news
- OG being worked into 12 formations with Conklin - not hearing many peeps about Diss
- Q stacking good days, Harris starting to get more in the mix
- KLS ankle, Ladd out - get well, get well soon!
Separately - I heard Colson is not doing very well so far … anyone hear about him?Justin Herbert 2026 MVP Watch

- Vidal took some major steps forward this year apparently. He is faster, more explosive, and his pass-blocking has gone from terrible to excellent. Nice. #3 RB?Originally posted by dmac_bolt View Post

- It sounds like Hand is our pass-rush replacement for Fox, and both he and Otito are looking great. Great news. We have already heard about Eboigbe.
- It looks like one of our UDFA WRs is finally starting to separate and impress. Luckily is is Dalevon Campbell, our biggest WR. New MW? Sorry Rice.
- So Fisk is a better run blocker and more impressive FB than Matlock? Good. I want to see Matlock replaced at FB, but Harb seems to have an unhealthy attachment.
- Bozeman is who he is. We were hoping that Zion would take a step forward. He hasn't so far, but Salyer has. I'm okay with that. I want our IOL play to improve, i don't care who's actually playing.

It seems they are trying to salvage Zion Johnson. Bozeman may be a better guard than center. He's 6-5, 325, that is big for center, but he might be serviceable (and better than Zion?) as a guard, where he also has experience playing. They signed Andre James for a reason. One would think is the better center option right now than Zion is ever going to be this season, right? I won't be surprised if the week 1 starting OL is Slater, Bozeman, James, Becton, Alt, with Zion and Salyer as depth.

I agree 6'5" is not the correct height for OC. Same with having a 6'5" NT - low guy usually wins in the center of the trench. its a very rare 6'5" guy that has the bend and lower strength to counter that leverage disadvantage.Originally posted by Velo View PostIt seems they are trying to salvage Zion Johnson. i'm not sure how it'll shake out. I doubt Sal-James combo because I don't believe the staff has the fucking balls to make a bold move. They are now last-minute experimenting what they should have been doing since the first OTA. They locked on their B-Z plan before one guy had stepped out of the locker room and all they have wanted to evaluate was who is LG and who is OC, there was NEVER an open competition. This reflects both poor evaluations and a dogmatic rigidity. Its an obvious signal now that they fucked up and don't know what to do. but they won't admit it. everything's awesome!
Our IDL sounds like the greatest collection of fucking All-Pros in Charger history. cmon, we may have a decent and respectable IDL and with Mintner, I'm confident they will hold their own. But we do not have any All-Pros in that group. Yet every single one of them is incredible and dominant in camp. At some point I'd like to see at least one goddamn LAC coach ask the question: "hey, maybe its who they are playing against in practice?"Justin Herbert 2026 MVP Watch

I’m not agreeing with this guy, but this is hell of a catch. And that is solid coverage too. I don’t even think that ball should have been thrown.

At least the weakest link of the IOL, and the entire OL, Pipkins, is out of the starting lineup. That's encouraging.Originally posted by dmac_bolt View Post

As a reactionary fan, it would be nice to see an entirely new starting cast on the interior of the OL, with James and center and Salyer at left guard.
But we have to trust Harbaugh and his coaches. This is not the Staley Chargers or the Lynn Chargers. In Week1 the best starting OL combo will be on the field.
