They had the 2nd most cap but it is like all we hear is "we have lots of cap but we have to sign our own players" Well so does every other team and they sign good free agents and make shit happen. You also didnt pay for Zion and Odafe.

Sure do. it is like Joe is a little thick when it comes to IOL and did not learn anything from last year

Strange is depth, Jenkins is definetely just as good or better than Zion and AVT is on a prove it deal while drafting his backup in rounds 1 or 2 for the future.

Zion is mediocre. He’s not a good guard. So thats not saying much. Jenkins is good in run blocking but he’s atrocious at pass blocking. One of the worst in the league. AVT just injured himself taking a piss…lol

These aren’t answers. They are band aids. Drafting Guards is fine but you only have 5 picks. How do you expect to get theoretically 2 starting guards and another top tier EDGE? Again, this isn’t good planning. Unless Hortiz can swing a trade I guess….

That is kind of the thing. Some are saying chill, be patient...Joe has got this. Except Joe has not gotten o line yet as a GM...there is little left at guard in free agency ....and only 5 draft picks.

Jenkins had a better pass blocking grade than run blocking 72 pass and 60 run. Sometimes band aids are the answer for a year or 2. They will draft a G, no doubt. Jenkins is a much better G than C anyways. It’s easy, sign Jenkins for 2 years and AVT for 1. Draft Rutledge in the 2nd. Sign Strange for 1-2 years as well. That is more depth than they ever had on the IOL because they also resigned Penning.

I just think we’ve got to now realize Joe has some warts, man.
He’s a new GM and he’s learning that this isn’t an easy job and if you can’t pivot quick like this morning, you can find yourself behind the 8 ball real quick.

Jenkins isn’t really bad at either and he’s better than Zion. They already fixed C, the most important spot. Hortiz isn’t done. Actually the most important fix that they did, is McD and Barry. They alone will make the Oline better. There are still better Gs on the market than the Chargers had last year.
