Two FRPs
I would think about including Tuli
Slater is off limits
Maybe another draft pick
Would have to sign him to an extension as part of the trade
He is a difference maker
to get value you have to give up value.
If there's any player of value I would consider trading it's Slater because we have Alt--we can move him to LT and find a RT much more easily than a dominant passrusher.
I think Slater is a HUGE chip to offer that other teams can't.
Slater and not much more should do it imo."The best defense is more offense."

If Kupp comes to the Chargers, does he bring his Ram’s fans with him? The Battle for LA continues. Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.
Let’s win one for Mack.

Trade Slater and Bosa for Myles Garrett. (or the Chargers release him but he would fill a void at DE for the Browns
clear $45m of cap space to sign Garrett
Use that to extend Garrett and still have funds leftover to figure out RT
If you think Slater is injury prone moving forward - that could be a reason
(again, not advocating just kicking tires)
I still in in the camp of keeping bookend OTs

Cleveland can’t take on expensive players. If they trade Garrett, they are in major cap hell and have to go with a majority of cap min players. A total rebuild job. Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

Am I crazy for not wanting Garret and giving up draft picks and accepting a crazy expensive player. There are going to be 3 very good players we can draft in the first three rounds plus they will be much cheaper to pay. How many superbowls did garret help cleveland win? How many superbowls did Bosa help us win? All these expensive players other than QB are team wreckers...Originally posted by Formula 21 View PostCleveland can’t take on expensive players. My plan is still the same - release Bosa, check the market not only on Mack but other Edge rushers that make sense in free agency
draft well
I mean, I made posts above at the level I could go too since you get a guy like White or some dominant player on defense can make a difference but I think the Chargers are not quite there yet to give up the farm. Now a team like Detroit - for sure. Two year window - push them chips in

IF and that is a big IF I'm trading for Garrett the most, I am offering is 2 1st and nothing more. Take it or leave it. I'm not giving up the future for 1 player. My final Mock:
1) Woods, Peter- DT/Clemson
2) Pregnon, Emmanuel- OG/Oregon
3) Moore, Derrick- EDGE/Michigan
4) Demmings, Charlie- CB/S. F. Austin
6) Klein, Marlin- TE/Michigan

Thats why I liked the Popper idea - Bosa is basically expendable - he is probably going to be released anyway - so a 1st, 3rd and Bosa - granted, I doubt Cleveland takes it.Originally posted by Chargers8491 View PostIF and that is a big IF I'm trading for Garrett the most, I am offering is 2 1st and nothing more. I mean, if that were truly the offer - Chargers would have to think long and hard about that. Really just giving up a 3rd round pick as Garrett for the 22nd - you could only hope that the rookie for the next four years produces like Garrett or close to it.

I don’t like the idea of giving up draft capital to get Garrett. Or give up Slater.
This team could dump Bosa and have an absolute massive amount of FA money to just go get EDGE Josh Sweat in FA and not give away any draft picks and on top of Sweat still get other big name FA’s for the O line or WR.
