Grandpa Pete has forgotten what Jim Harbaugh's "thing" is.

Their GM should be fired for misevaluating his worth, skill and fit that badly.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.
        Let’s win one for Mack.

Goddert would be a great add since filly does not want much for him, huge upgrade over any TE we have(has speed, great hands, toiughness, and blocking ability).... but he's 30 and injury prone so only short term solution..... would be awesome to have him and Loveland on field at same time in 2 or 3 TE formations where we can run with harris or play action to the TE's or Ladd.....

over who - Nabors? beats me - never know if reports are even true, but not sure I heard that. They had im rated high, as they should have - he's another very good receiver, I would have taken him before Ladd too (and of course he did go before Ladd). Last year was a monster class at the top.

Just a clarification, I grew up in the San Fernando Valley. Birmingham HS. I’m an old. Been in Fort Worth since 95. Still follow SFV football from afar. Pittman ( Oaks Christian ) and London ( Moorpark ) were CIF Southern Section players, not OC. But OC is part of the CIF SS. So, some of the best best HS WRs come out of there every year.

This forum has always been a fun read. Who’s got it better than us?
I grew up in Granada Hills, went to Kennedy High and played football there in the 80's. My uncle was an all time great at Birmingham High in football, he was recruited to Boise St from there back in the late 70's.

He is actually a good separator which we badly need and is really good at YAC. The issue is durability.

Really hope we draft an OC like Jake Majors to compete with Zion, Bozeman, and James, and let the best center win the starting spot.
Let's not forget the performance threshold for the center position - All we need is average. That would be a big improvement from last year. I think there's a reasonable chance that James reverts to his 2023 form and/or Bozeman plays better with a better RG . . . . . . .

Hortiz is becoming a master of these short deals to fill holes and allow him to not draft for need. He did a good job last year let's see how this year works out.

These 1-year signings tell me that they got a guy but it's not "their guy". It's also a good road map to show how they are going to attack the draft. The areas where they have these 1-2-year contracts is the area where they are going look to the draft to find "their guy", IMHO.

Well, they got Hand and Jones, 2 defenders that are young and on the upside. You usually don't find teams letting young defenders on the upside go and you don't usually see them signing for cheap deals.

Hand is already 29. He has been around for a while
