I think a stud WR in FA might be needed. AJ Brown might be on his way out but would be expensive. Not sure if we could trade QJ. I guess we could be out of money once OL and Defense are paid. We have not had success developing first round WR quickly….MW and QJ took 2-3 years but are not Elite.
I do hope Allen comes back especially if we done go after a true #1 WR.

Jim cannot bring himself to say Gro and Devlin suck. Sweet kiss on the way out the door to the guy you just shiv’d. I’ve heard him enough times I’m starting to get annoyed at his lack of candor. I appreciate it on future-looking things to not tell other teams what they are going to do, but he won’t even be honest on things that already happened and are done/over. its getting stale for me. Stammering on about how there’s two sides to it … really 50 sides to it … FFS, cmon man.

What do you want him to say that would satisfy?

Agreed. Remember when Lynn was holding on to his special teams coordinator buddy even though he was sucking bad. I’m just glad Jim/Hortiz didn’t hesitate to get rid of GRO after two years.

I think Raiders will end up with Flores. And that will be bad because he is a very good coach. For the Raiders, the fact that he is suing the NFL is a real plus

And no, they cannot come out and say those guys were not good but we all can see it. They also weren't that positive about Boze and Becton . They were more positive about other guys, even Zion and QJ. I think Boze + Bectom = McGovern or Linderbaum

Truthfully, listening to pods talking about the cap and how they have a bunch of money but it will go fast - I am not sure its that difficult though:

After that - than iits figuring out where best to spend money.
Maybe at this point, circle back to Mack - see what he wants, is he willing to be a less compensated player or do you allocate those funds to another DE/Edge type

Hearing Harbaugh say that the new OC will have great input in his staff makes me happy. Also him saying they are not stuck in a certain scheme and they will look outside the box makes me happy as well. It tells me that he knows he needs to adjust to the new era of the NFL.

Agree. We all know why Roman and Devlin were fired. Harbaugh doesn't need to tell us. I am just comforted he put the team over personal relationships and did the right thing.

I am more upset about losing Bowman.

I’m all for this combo for those reasons exactly. McDaniels is here for at least 1 year. I think he might stay for 2 years. He would learn a ton from Harbaugh as far as building a Culture for his next HCing gig. Then Frank Smith seamlessly takes over when McDaniels is gone. Give him the title OLine/Assistant OC/Run Game Coordinator. Let Frank Smith call some plays in the preseason to get a feel.

Could Frank Smith be in line to be the next HC? Harbaugh isn’t going to coach forever and Frank Smith is well respected by coaches and players. I know some of us brought him up as a HCing candidate a couple years ago.

AJ Brown played worse in PHI playoff loss than QJ did in ours. He's a locker room PITA and malcontent ME guy - no thanks. Other ideas are welcome for consideration but if I were Joe and analyzed the roster for what needs improvement - WR is not close to the top of the list for 2026 improvements unless Slayer is not back - in which they probably want a replacement. Their statements are they'd love him back so its about $$ and Keenan's desire - I think?

2 WRs in 15 years is not a good sample size to judge either way. I wanted Flowers the year they took Q. But I love Q as a man - he cares, he works his ass off, he's humble, he's a team first guy. He made a very good step in 2026 imo, I count on him taking another step after another off-season of extensive work - which is exactly what he has done the first 2 off-seasons.

Agree about AJ Brown -- good player just not sure where his head is at in the game, so no thanks.
I think QJ -- don't pick up the fifth year option obviously but just play the season out and hopefully in 12 months you have a decision to make

WR room would be Ladd, QJ, Tre and KLS, Campbell on the PS
TE Room is probably just OG and maybe Fisk as Dissly is probably gonme

I think TE is next on the list as I don't want Fisk or Matlock on the team anymore. For a TE room, look at the Rams - thats the model!
Allen could be a similar signing as this year $5m.

For me, until the big signings get out of the way, I am being judicious with cap space.
As I wrote earlier - I need to see Oweh, Tartt, Tuli, OG and OC fixed and done
