I think this is great value for a proven veteran with top 5 TE production. He doesn't have the upside of prime Kelce/Kittle etc but he's stead and a willing blocker. Dissly as TE2 instead of TE1 changes the whole complexion of that group.

Haglund tweeted this -- thinks James would be a solid pickup. And since released, would not count the comp pick game. How about James and Fries for the Chargers Oline? Also if you want two other players to not count in the comp pick game, Landry for Edge or Allen for DT. Of course Davante Adams for WR. None would count

I do remember before last season James was developing nicely and trending up as a center. Maybe Steven has a point.

Sounds like he was good 2 years ago and the Raiders mess last year contributed to his decline.
Guessing he is at least an upgrade from Boze going forward as a potential starter and decent backup.
