I'm wondering if they are going to ask Gadsden to put on weight or just let him run wild. I'm really interested to see how they are going to use him this year and wonder if he is going to get much playing time.My final Mock:
1) Woods, Peter- DT/Clemson
2) Pregnon, Emmanuel- OG/Oregon
3) Moore, Derrick- EDGE/Michigan
4) Demmings, Charlie- CB/S. F. Austin
6) Klein, Marlin- TE/Michigan

yeah right now i project the starting 3 wrs to be mdub, harris and ladd. after that its qj at the 4, so my hypothetical was if mdub goes down, instead of putting qj on the outside we try gadesonOriginally posted by Lone Bolt View Post
We have Tre Harris...but sure...there will be packages, if Gadsen shows out in camp, where he could be flexed out, X, flanker....or big slot...certainly a possible redzone option...
But if Mdub goes down, your X is Harris...he will probably already be sharing time there anyway.

True. But he's going to be 31 in October, and below is his injury history. For some reason the back injury, a small fracture, in Week 18 of 2022 was left out of this. He's gotten beaten up over the years. I'm not betting against him, but I wouldn't say he's in his prime, so I'm also not betting on him to make the team.Originally posted by Boltjolt View Post
Id say his circumstances held his production down. When TC started last year he wasn't even a year from injury and not sure when he had surgery. It's usually not right away and they worked him in slow in TC. Then add the fact Aaron had his boys there in GB.
Traded to a new team, learning a new offense.
When he got his chances he produced. 14.1 YPC

This is a pretty good write up about some of the UDFA the Chargers signed. Man, their O-line is going to be hug as well as the D-line.
Takeaways from the Chargers’ 2025 UDFA haulMy final Mock:

so you are saying, the TE we drafted is not as fast as a WR?...drafted early in first round.... lolOriginally posted by Boltjolt View Post
Im seing his Pro Day time as 4.62.....he isnt as fast as McMillin.....or MW for that matter. Im not sure how they will use him since he isnt a real inline TE. We'll see in TC and Preseason. He needs some developing but can be a nice weapon.
Here is a nice tidbit article on him...link below the quote
Gadsden knows that he will have to improve on his blocking, especially in Roman’s run-heavy system.
“I’m better on the receiving end and still developing in the run game,” Gadsden said. “I’m always going to strive to be the best player, best tight end I can be. ... You want to get to the Hall of Fame, you want to be one of the greats.”
https://www.syracuse.com/orangefootb...gers-pick.html
I believe that is possible and likely.... lol
but remember.... 40 yard times dont mean everything.... Golden ran a crazy fast 40 but it does not show up on field.... Jerry Rice ran really slow 40..... but neve got caught from behind in NFL.... lol
Lets just see how the players play.... maybe he cant get open in NFL... but maybe he is like Gates and others and just finds ways to get open???

I hope to see Gadsden starting soon. He's going to take Safety pressure off the LOS with the occasional long pass play and lots of short stuff. The awesome thing is if a team puts a linebacker on Gadsden he'll be a good threat to break one with his speed and how he catches the ball (he doesn't need to slow down to make a body catch...he uses his hands). Then we're going to pound the rock over and over with our stud RB's.Can't wait.Originally posted by Chargers8491 View Post

Agree...and there is also that slightly disturbing report about Slayer barking at Herbie about not getting enough targets...don't need that, please...Originally posted by Riverwalk View Post
While I agree Slayer would be productive, I think it would take too many reps away from the other new receivers we’ve added who will need them to develop.
Hard pass on KA for me.
