Right, if he is released - there is $11m of dead cap. That $11m counts whether he is on the roster or not -- there is not savings for the Chargers. They are on the hook for that $11m

I am liking this idea more and more -- seeing if the Chargers can help the Niners cap but get paid with a draft pick that could turn into TMac or Warren.

Like I doubt it even has 0.0001% chance of happening but I like it. Pay $3m for DJ Chark or buy a draft pick that could help you move up in R1 or R2 without sacrificing your current draft picks

Broncos paid $9m for a 2nd and 3rd but the Rams were all in and it paid off , they won the right

With 100 points and maybe a 6th rounder to sweeten the pot - the Chargers could get to Tampa. If TMac is there and they had the extra 3rd rounder -- very interesting to think about. But free agency will also be a factor in how R1 is handled.

If a team wants to win - they are going to have to pay the players - especially in free agency - the going rate.

Just have to do your research, make sure the player fits your scheme, checks the boxes and hope it works out. There will be some JCJacksons but there can be Saquon Barkleys too

Crocodile tears for someone with a $50 mil guarantee vs. $100 mil guarantee. It's gotten out of control over the last decade and we are seeing the negatives of this happening to desperate teams.
