as long as we have Rivers they will foolishly pass in goal to go situations. only sign that will change is if they over-emphasize work on run game all through camps and pre-season so it becomes a strength and automatic instead of a crap shoot.

if Lynn is making the important decisions ex. goal line situations, he'd most likely opt to punch it in more, as opposed to McSpineless who prefers to bury his head in his hands and hope whatever any one decides to call works instead of making the decision himself (unless of course, it was his decision to be pass happy, well then good riddance to that fuckface.)

I guess my point is, I EXPECT the team to have that identity, ground and pound (assuming lynns personality is really as strong as they're saying)

I think you can be creative running the ball as well as passing.How often do we actually run a QB sneak for instance. Brady is much smaller than Rivers but the Patriots run the play more than most without getting injured which is probably the lame argument against it. There are other creative ways to run and pass. How about a Gordon sweep with the option to dump off to a TE, LT did that quite often.

Would also like to see the fake reverse with Travis Benjamin keeping defenses honest with Gordon. How about a coach who works on Rivers bad habits, teach him how to sell the PLAY ACTION part of the play action pass. Wildcat a few times a year could work with a Oliver, Gordon backfield. Rivers goes in motion with Benjamin coming in with Oliver/Gordon. There are some combinations there.

Just asking for some creativity at times to counter cheating unbalanced defenses.

Wow. It's so much nicer watching Lynn in group interviews than it was McCoy. McCoy really struggled with those. I felt for McCoy but Lynn has a real knack at spontaneously answering questions. Very calm and composed throughout. The contrast between the two is stark.
